A Virginia woman was mauled to death by her pair of pit bulls while taking them out for a walk in the woods. Bethany Lynn Stephens, 22, was found dead in a 'grisly' scene on Thursday night, two days after she was last seen heading out to walk her dogs in the woods near her Goochland, Virginia home. Authorities said she was found by her father, who was searching for her in an area where she was known to take the dogs out for walks. The dogs — described as being 'very large, brindle-colored pit bull dogs' — were said to be aggressively guarding her body when Stephens' father came across them, according to Goochland County Sheriff James L. Agnew, the Richmond-Times Dispatch reported.

Canadian police said they were investigating the mysterious deaths of Barry Sherman, founder of Canadian pharmaceutical firm Apotex Inc, and his wife, Honey, one of the nation's wealthiest couples whose bodies were found in their mansion on Friday. Police said they learned of the deaths after responding to a midday (1700 GMT) medical call at the Sherman's home in an affluent section of northeast Toronto. Two bodies covered in blankets were removed from the home and loaded into an unmarked van on Friday evening. 'The circumstances of their death appear suspicious and we are treating it that way,' said Constable David Hopkinson.

Instead, Roof calls him a 'traitor' that 'took the easy way out,' and says he is 'disgusting' for 'undermining his own race.'

An Illinois man commandeered a casual afternoon of family game time in his effort to surprise his girlfriend with a marriage proposal. At least ten people were in the kitchen one evening, standing around a table during a card guessing game when the proposal took place. In the video, each of the players is instructed to hold a playing card up to their forehead by a man off camera. They each hold a card to their forehead to reveal a number or face card — except for one young blonde woman who has been given a special card, which is clearly visible when the videographer zooms in on her face. 'What the f*** does she have?' one person says, laughing, as others quickly join in once they read her card.

Sherra Wright (top), the ex-wife of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright (above), has been arrested in California and charged with first-degree murder in connection with his 2010 death.Police arrested her on a fugitive from justice warrant, online records show. She had previously given police an account of seeing him ten days before his body was found - the last time he was reportedly seen before his death. The arrest comes after another man, Billy Turner 46, was also arrested and charged with murder. Turner was arrested on December 5 and his bail is set at $1million. He has not entered a plea. The 6-foot-11 Wright played for the Memphis Grizzlies and four other NBA teams as a forward and center over 13 seasons before retiring in 2009. Wright's body was found in a swampy field outside of Memphis on July 28, 2010.

Amy Smart is speaking up on her husband's behalf. The 41-year-old California native on Saturday posted a detailed message to her Instagram page defending her spouse, HGTV's Carter Oosterhouse, after a makeup artist named Kailey Kaminsky told The Hollywood Reporter that Oosterhouse had coerced her into performing oral sex on him when they worked together nine years ago. Smart posted the message - which reinforced her husband's claim that the relationship was a consensual one - along with a shot of herself posed with Oosterhouse and their 11-month-old daughter, Flora.

And on Friday, 55-year-old Jodie Foster reprised her FBI agent Clarice Starling character for comedic purposes, as she took part in a sketch on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. In the sketch, Clarice is hunting for evidence of collusion between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russian authorities - and seeks the advice of imprisoned cannibal Hannibal Lecter, played by 53-year-old host Colbert.

NEW Just days after it was reported that Omarosa Manigault (inset) had to be physically removed from the White House, a 10-minute YouTube clip from 2006 shows her in a weird sci-fi mini-film. The film, titled Soul Sistahs, casts Omarosa (above) as a James Bond-like action hero who is abducted and sent on a mission by a bizarre old lady in a spaceship. Her job is to cut off pieces of Donald Trump's hair so that the old lady could get rich quick and avoid having to return to Earth to get a regular job.

'The legacy of 'Jingle Bells' is one where its blackface and racist origins have been subtly and systematically removed from its history,' wrote Kyna Hamill (inset), a Boston University theater historian. The claim has shocked fans of one of the world's most famous Christmas carols, long considered innocuous and inoffensive. In the course of her research, Hamill discovered a playbill indicating that Jingle Bells was first performed under the title One Horse Open Sleigh in blackface, for a minstrel show at Ordway Hall on Boston's Washington Street in 1857.

But a new film by French director Stephane Benhamou called The No 5 War has revealed further dealings between Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel (pictured) and the Vichy regime that ruled wartime Paris. Pierre and Paul Wertheimer became Chanel's partners in 1924 after backing the full financial and production costs of the revolutionary No 5 scent. After the deal was struck she received only 10 per cent of profits, 70 per cent went to the Wertheimers , while 20 per cent was transferred to Paris department store Galeries Lafayette. But never satisfied with how ownership and profits were divided, she became involved with an aristocratic Abwehr spymaster called Hans Günther von Dincklage - who was 13 years younger than her.

Chris Bellew, 21, was pulled over on suspicion of 'multiple traffic violations' on November 9 in Pasadena, California, and was injured in a subsequent fight with cops. The case received little notice until a bystander cellphone video of the incident emerged on December 4. The Pasadena chapter of the NAACP responded with outrage, calling the incident 'inhuman' and 'reprehensible'. The City of Pasadena responded by releasing six police bodycam and dashcam videos of the incident on Friday.

The Rich Russian Kids Instagram has been blasted for posting a video showing a driver speeding and swerving around St Petersburg at night. The video already has nearly 350,000 views. The driver goes past iconic tourist locatins St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Mariinsky Palace. One commenter asked 'why become a potential killer?'

Pete Davidson (top right), a 24-year-old New York City native who was an outspoken supporter of Clinton during the presidential election, shared a photo of the new tattoo (left) of her face on Instagram Friday. 'Wanted to get @hillaryclinton a Christmas gift so I got a tattoo of my hero,' Peterson wrote. 'Thanks for being such a bada** and one of the strongest people in the universe,' he continued. Kacy Sager (right), daughter of legendary NBA broadcaster Craig Sager, caught the internet's affection by saying everything there is to say to axed ESPN reporter turned trolling provocateur, Britt McHenry (left). Kacy, whose father Craig died one year ago Friday, laid into Britt on the anniversary of her dad's passing after she took shots at her brother, Craig Sager II on Twitter. McHenry, who has been in the news for her insults, called Craig 'Some kid whose only connection to media is his famous dad,' while arguing with an ex-girlfriend of his on Twitter. Kacy laid into McHenry on Twitter. 'While you've been busy single-handedly tanking the value of a degree from Northwestern, Craig has kept his head down and built the foundation for a career that will certainly outlast the one you pissed away by being a spoiled brat,' she wrote. 'It's not like he towed your damn car…,' Kacy wrote, calling back video of McHenry berating a towing company employee that led to McHenry being suspended.

One of America's most beloved holiday flicks, 'A Christmas Story,' airs around the clock for the holidays- and the stars are still receiving royalties from the 1983 classic. Zack Ward, now 47 (right) who played iconic bully Scut Farkus (left) says he gets something, but it's not make-me-rich money. 'You're going to be so disappointed,' Ward said. 'It's basically about $1,800 every two years ... and it comes in in Canadian money because we shot in Canada.'

Brodey Young (pictured right and main) was born on Tuesday morning on the Blueberry Ward at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby. He weighed in at 12lb 130z - nearly the same as a bowling bowl, stunning midwives, doctors and his mother Sheralyn Wilcock (pictured left with partner Robert). Ms Wilcock said there were no abnormalities during her pregnancy that suggested Brodey would be so heavy, but explained that her other two children, Bailey Hemsley and Payton Young (pictured centre), were also larger than anticipated when they were born. The parents say they are just happy that Brodey, who measured 63cm when he was born, is healthy and has been delivered in time for Christmas.

For his 2017 Christmas card, John Cessna, 32, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, created a terrifying hostage scene in which he and his wife are tied up and surrounded by explosives after being kidnapped by 'ICE-ISS' -  the International Christmas Elves Independent Sovereign State. Cessna started staging unique holiday-themed Christmas cards in 2008 after his mother joked that he should 'sober up' and send out a card of his own. He obliged and made a card that showed drunk and slumped in the shower surrounded by bottles of alcohol. Cessna has continued his tradition each year, changing his theme to focus on 'absurdity and insidiousness.'

Cyril Ruoso, a professional wildlife photographer with nearly 25 years of experience, has captured stunning underwater shots of a mute swan feeding in Burgundy, France.Mute swans are very large white water birds. They have a long S-shaped neck and an orange bill with black at the base of it. The population in the UK has increased recently and the species can be found throughout Europe and Asia.

A couple in Madya Pradesh, India, had their happy day ruined when a tiger gatecrashed their wedding. Guests were seen screaming and running for cover after it came out of the bushes. The big cat later roamed 600km away and attacked a woman as she went to the toilet at 5am. A team tracking the beast have said it is not afraid of humans and attracted to light. It does not hesitate to go through human settlements which is 'unusual' behaviour for a tiger.
