'I've been nervous for the last six years': Actress Ruby Rose reveals the surprising reason why she's dreading going back to Australia for Christmas

Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Friday, the Australian actress revealed she's been dreading returning to her family home this year.

And it's an ongoing trauma the 31-year-old claimed: 'I've been nervous [to go home] for the last six years.'

The Pitch Pefect 3 star then expressed regret over a promise she made to her mother to return home for the holidays every year.

'I get a lot of anxiety around going home for Christmas,' Ruby said.

Her hesitance is understandable, with the hassle of the long-haul flight from Los Angeles and the occasional awkwardness of re-connecting with family.

Those factors would be normal, but Ruby's situation is incredibly unique, as she explained to Jimmy: 'A stalker pig lives in my home.'

So big in fact, the actress claimed she'd had to buy her mother a new home twice to keep up with the animal's seemingly endless growth.

Even with the bigger property, Ruby insisted: 'I'm basically sharing a bed with this pig!'

'It's outside with these paper thin doors and all night I can hear it... it's calling me.'

Understandably lost for words, Jimmy conceded: 'Gosh, we have such different lives, me and you.'
