She recently received the approval of her boyfriend's daughter.

And on Friday, Katharine McPhee looked to be in a great spirits as she shopped at Prada in Beverly Hills.

The singer-actress looked to be preoccupied and in deep conversation, as she was seen on her phone.

Katharine wore a fitted, striped blouse, tied at the front. 

The pretty brunette added a pair of trendy, high-waist jeans complete with a cropped, bell bottom. 

The 33-year-old wore a chic jacket over her shoulders and carried a classic Chanel purse.

Katharine was without boyfriend David Foster.

The duo were first believed to have been a couple in May, when they were seen grabbing dinner at Nobu in Malibu, according to Us Weekly.

Rumors were fueled again in September after they were seen out together multiple times.

It appears that despite their 35-year age gap, Katharine has already received the seal of approval from part of his family.

David's daughter Sara, 38, spoke on behalf of herself and her sisters when she gave the go-ahead for her father's relationship.

 'We totally approve,' she began to Us Weekly. 

'I mean, listen, we approve of whoever is going to be good to my dad at the end of the day and we’re very honest about it.'

'[Katharine] is a grown a** woman. She’s not 20, she’s turning 34. And my dad is very young. He’s like a very young, young dad/grandpa.'
