The ballroom at Beach Blanket Babylon can be rented out for around £6,500 which covers both food and soft drinks
The future king and queen of England left the Notting Hill restaurant via a rather unglamorous alley, to avoid being pictured
The Palace hired out the venue's upstairs ballroom and paid an estimated £110 a head to cater for 60 guests.
But according to a source, party-goers had to bring their own alcohol due as the restaurant had recently had its licence revoked.
Diners quaffed on three courses starting with a choice of salmon, avocado vignette, and wild mushroom soup before tucking into a choice of five main courses.
For dessert, guests chose from Christmas pudding, chocolate cake and cheesecake.
The ballroom at Beach Blanket Babylon can be rented out for around £6,500 on a weekday evening before Christmas, which covers food and soft drinks.
The royal couple were seen leaving in their Range Rover by a grotty dustbin exit towards the end of the celebrations.
As they were driven by their minder to Kensington Palace, under two miles away, Kate bowed her head while Prince William looked out of the rain-splattered window.
The Duchess of Cambridge appeared to be wearing a black skirt with a red, floral pattern while the Duke opted for an emerald jumper over a white buttoned shirt.
Both were wearing heavy black coats to shield them from the elements as they made their way to their Range Rover estate.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly left much earlier, according to a source.

A member of staff at the restaurant told MailOnline their licence had recently expired and they were in the process of applying for a new one.
Historically the late night venue has clashed with its upmarket neighbours over noise and boozy customers.
In January 2016, a group objected to the licence of a nearby bar opening due in part because of the clientele at Beach Blanket Babylon.
Speaking at the time, they said: 'Long-term residents have noticed the nuisance and noise level from Beach Blanket Babylon and the 'comings and goings around it' has a major and detrimental impact on this part of Ledbury Road.
Neighbours said: 'It often felts quite unpleasant walking along this stretch of street at night due to the smell of alcohol and urine.'
It has been a busy week for the Windsor brothers, who were spotted partying after the premier of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. on Tuesday night.
After the pair attended the Leicester Square screening of the latest film in the series, they brought the party back to Kensington Palace.
Stars including Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Laura Dern were pictured living it up at the royal residence with other superstars not involved in the film including former Spiderman actor Andrew Garfield.
Friendships between the Hollywood actors and the brothers developed after Prince Harry and William undertook secret cameo roles in the Stormtroopers alongside movie hardman Tom Hardy.
They are believed to appear in a scene alongside Boyega and Benicio del Toro, who plays a shady new character called DJ, when the pair are captured in a lift trying to infiltrate an enemy base.
The Princes were said to be in a good mood during filming, and one of them is saidto have cheekily slapped del Toro's bottom.
