Morgan Spurlock's latest documentary will not premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, pulled by the remaining partners in his production company, they announced Friday

Morgan Spurlock's latest documentary will not premiere at the Sundance Film Festival as planned.

The remaining partners in his production company said Friday that they removed 'Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken!' from the Sundance slate in light of Spurlock's confessions of sexual misconduct earlier this week.

Warrior Poets partners Jeremy Chilnick and Matthew Galkin said in a statement that 'this is not the appropriate time' for the film to premiere.

YouTube Red, which was to distribute the film, also had a change of heart. 

YouTube said Friday it would not release the film, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Producers of another documentary set to premiere at Sundance next month also said Friday they were distancing themselves from Spurlock.

'In light of Morgan's recent revelations, we agreed to end his association with 'The Devil We Know,'' producer Kristin Lazure said in a statement. 

She said she hoped to keep the focus on the film, which explores the effects of toxic chemical pollution.

Spurlock said Wednesday in a lengthy online post that he was accused of rape while in college, settled a sexual harassment case with a female assistant at his office eight years ago, and has been unfaithful to all of his wives and girlfriends.

He said he would immediately step down from Warrior Poets, the production company he co-founded.

Spurlock volunteered the information in a lengthy statement which he posted on TwitLonger and linked to his own Twitter account.

In it he reveals that he was sexually abused as a boy. He also said that he has not gone a full week sober since the age of 13. 

He asks: 'What caused me to act this way? Is it all ego? Or was it the sexual abuse I suffered as a boy and as a young man in my teens? Abuse that I only ever told to my first wife, for fear of being seen as weak or less than a man?' 

The shocking statement from the filmmaker was made in the midst of a spate of sex crimes allegations against a number of high profile figures in the entertainment world and politics, most famous among them Harvey Weinstein.

Spurlock wrote on Wednesday:

'As I sit around watching hero after hero, man after man, fall at the realization of their past indiscretions, I don't sit by and wonder 'who will be next?' I wonder, 'when will they come for me?''

Referring to himself as 'part of the problem,' Spurlock recalled an instance in college when he had 'hooked up' with a woman during a one-night stand.

'[We'd] been drinking all night and went back to my room,' Spurlock wrote. 

'We began fooling around, she pushed me off, then we laid in the bed and talked and laughed some more, and then began fooling around again.

'We took off our clothes. She said she didn't want to have sex, so we laid together, and talked, and kissed, and laughed, and then we started having sex.'

Moments later, Spurlock recalled that the woman started to cry.

'I didn't know what to do,' he wrote. 'We stopped having sex and I rolled beside her. I tried to comfort her. To make her feel better.

'I thought I was doing ok, I believed she was feeling better. She believed she was raped.'

Spurlock wrote that he only learned about the rape accusation from a friend who was in a writing class with the woman.

He said that his friend told him that she named Spurlock in an essay which was read aloud to the class. 

Spurlock attended New York University and received his degree in 1993. 

Spurlock also wrote that 'around eight years ago' he paid money to a woman that he subjected to 'verbal' harassment.

'I would call my female assistant 'hot pants' or 'sex pants' when I was yelling to her from the other side of the office,' Spurlock wrote.

'Something I thought was funny at the time, but then realized I had completely demeaned and belittled her to a place of non-existence. 'So, when she decided to quit, she came to me and said if I didn't pay her a settlement, she would tell everyone.

'Being who I was, it was the last thing I wanted, so of course, I paid.

'I hurt them. And I hate it. But it didn't make me stop. The worst part is, I'm someone who consistently hurts those closest to me,' Spurlock wrote. He is seen above with Jamieson in this undated file photo

'I paid for peace of mind. I paid for her silence and cooperation. Most of all, I paid so I could remain who I was.' 

Spurlock also wrote that he was unfaithful to all of the women in his life, including his spouses and former girlfriends.

'Over the years, I would look each of them in the eye and proclaim my love and then have sex with other people behind their backs,' he wrote.

'I hurt them. And I hate it. But it didn't make me stop. The worst part is, I'm someone who consistently hurts those closest to me. 

'From my wife, to my friends, to my family, to my partners & co-workers. I have helped create a world of disrespect through my own actions.'

Spurlock has been married twice. His first marriage was to Alex Jamieson, a natural foods chief who also appeared with her then-boyfriend in Super Size Me.

The couple were married for five years before divorcing in 2011. They have one child together.

Last year, Spurlock married his second wife, Sara Bernstein, after they dated for eight years.  

'More than anything, I'm hopeful that I can start to rebuild the trust and the respect of those I love most,' he wrote.

'I'm not sure I deserve it, but I will work everyday to earn it back.'

Super Size Me earned critical acclaim. The film received an Academy Award nomination for best documentary feature.

In 2008, he released his second documentary feature, Where in the World is Osama bin Laden?, a movie about the war on terrorism.

His other notable credits include The Greatest Movie Ever Sold and 30 Days. 

Spurlock is listed as the executive producer of a new, five-part documentary series, The Trade, which will premiere February 2 on Showtime. 

The Trade takes a look at the opioid epidemic ravaging large swaths of the country. 

Representatives for Spurlock did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday.
