They're the young couple from Australia Zoo who were rumoured to finally walk down the aisle.

And according to this week's New Idea, Bindi Irwin, 19, and boyfriend Chandler Powell, 21, were not only engaged but had decided on a sentimental wedding venue.

But speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Monday, Bindi's media representative has fiercely denied the claims, stating they may be in love but that haven't taken the next step just yet.

'He didn't propose. This is another false tabloid report from New Idea,' the rep told Daily Mail Australia.

On Monday, the magazine reported that a 'source' at the Irwin's Australia Zoo told the publication: 'We've heard that Chandler proposed to Bindi last week, and that he asked Terri for her blessing, which she of course gave.'

According to the publication, American-born Chandler is thought to have popped the question on December 11, the same day Bindi shared a sentimental throwback snap of the pair taken in April 2015.

'We spent this day with our families smiling and laughing by the lake. I am so glad we found each other in this great big world. I love you,' the wildlife queen captioned a photo that showed her cuddling her shirtless beau.

Not wasting any time, the pair were thought to have already decided upon a very sentimental wedding venue - Australia Zoo.

'Management have told us there could be a 'huge event' next year at the zoo – so of course everyone's thinking it must be Bindi and Chandler's wedding,' the source at the Queensland compound divulged to New Idea.

The 'insider' further claimed: 'Maybe they'll get the animals involved – or even open it up to the general public!'

New Idea alleged that even proud mum Terri is excited about the nuptials, dropping a major clue on her Twitter account on December 12.
