Most would be thrilled to have a pint offered to them at the beginning of their working day.

However Susanna Reid was less than pleased when she was offered the foamy froth on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday morning.

The presenter, 47, was presenting a segment alongside co-host Piers Morgan, with comedian and TV pub landlord Al Murray.

But as the boys took a gulp of their morning beer, Susanna kept a firm grip on her full glass, refusing to participate.

'After Saturday night, I'm giving up booze for good,' she exclaimed, referring to their presumably raucous GMB Christmas party.

'Just propping up the bar. This is real beer by the way!', she added after confirming her New Year's resolution.

Susanna Reid was looking fabulous and festive today on Good Morning and we couldn't help but be envious of her ensemble.

The presenter, styled by Debbie Harper, donned a velvet number by Boden with a wide waist band that nipped Susanna in at the waist and half-length sleeves that were super flattering. But is all that velvet that makes it seriously festive.

And it looked like the beer gave Piers Morgan a bit of Dutch courage as he challenged professional bodybuilder and Mr Olympia champion James 'Flex' Lewis to an arm-wrestling competition live later in the morning.

The co-host, 52, who boasted that he could beat one of his two brothers in arm-wrestling, due to his 'big guns and good wrist action', challenged James, 34, to a duel live on-air.

After a pleasant interview with the Welshman, a typically bolshy Piers said: 'You've got a big reputation, you got big arms, this time of year, I always take on my two brothers at arm wrestling

'I have a particularly good technique, big guns up here and a good wrist action so I just think maybe we should get it on' to which Flex replied 'Lets get it on!'.

As an enthusiastic Piers did some arm stretches, an impressed Flex felt his upper arms and said 'mate you have got big arms to which Piers responded 'Mate you don't want to mess with these guns. I'm serious'.

As the pair duelled, it looked as if they were on level pegging with Susanna shouting out: 'Come on Flex, don't let him win.'

James later posted to Instagram: 'Piers came to Win, and he's got some strength, and although it's his morning show, i couldn't let him win

'I've done quite a lot of stuff in the US, he's the blueprint, he thought I'm going to make it in movies and nobody thought he would and he proved them all wrong.'
