But David Foster, 68, and Katharine McPhee, 33, were just a pair of eager holiday shoppers in Beverly Hills on Sunday afternoon.

The dynamic duo walked side-by-side in the trendy neighborhood just one night after performing together on stage at Carole Bayer Sager's star-studded Christmas extravaganza.

The American Idol songstress rocked a pair of tight distressed denim jeans with a form-fitting white top.

She covered her shoulders with a grey, blue and white plaid peacoat and wore a pair of bright red heels studded with gold.

Her chocolate brown hair was worn in loose waves and Katharine swiped a bright scarlet hue across her lips.

Both music sensations shielded their eyes from the bright afternoon sun with a pair of dark sunglasses.

Just the night before, Kim Kardashian shared images to her Instagram account where David and Katharine were joined onstage by Babyface for a sweet rendition of White Christmas during Carole Bayer Sager's Christmas party, which also featured performances by Keith Urban, Joe Walsh and Hugh Jackman.

The duo were first believed to have been a couple in May, when they were seen grabbing dinner at Nobu in Malibu, according to Us Weekly.

It appears that despite their 35-year age gap, Katharine has already received the seal of approval from part of his family.

David's daughter Sara, 38, spoke on behalf of herself and her sisters when she gave the go-ahead for her father's relationship.

'We totally approve,' she began to Us Weekly.

'I mean, listen, we approve of whoever is going to be good to my dad at the end of the day and we’re very honest about it.'

'[Katharine] is a grown a** woman. She’s not 20, she’s turning 34. And my dad is very young. He’s like a very young, young dad/grandpa.'
