Twerking or turkey? Great British Bake Off's festive feud continues as pictures of their Christmas parties emerge online

Rivalry between Great British Bake Off stars past and present knows no bounds. Prue Leith, a judge on the Channel 4 show, posted pictures online at the weekend of her with fellow judge Paul Hollywood and co-hosts Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig enjoying a Christmas lunch.

At the same time, however, the show's original hosts Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc were busy with some merriment of their own.

Joining comedian Miranda Hart and stars from her eponymous BBC series, they had a Christmas pyjama party that at one point involved Sue, 48, twerking — dancing provocatively in a squatting stance — next to TV star Emma Kennedy dressed as an elf.

Now, guess which party was more fun. . .

The fringe benefits of Lily's pampered look

All eyes were on film star Lily James when she went on a date at the weekend with boyfriend Matt Smith, 37, to see Cinderella at Sadler's Wells in London.

The 28-year-old, who was not in the show herself but played the lead role in the 2015 Disney live action remake, was the centre of attention thanks to her striking new fringe.

Having changed her hair countless times for different roles in the past, she admits she now has to take special measures to look after her mane.

'My hair is naturally really dark, so it's pretty damaged from dyeing it blonde so often.

'To give it a bit of pampering, I drench it in oil and sleep with it on overnight.'

Victoria Beckham admits she's so work-obsessed that, despite it causing much irritation to husband David, at home she sneaks to the loo to send emails. Now, the fashion designer, 43, is planning to turn over a new leaf. 'The one thing I should do is have a New Year's resolution that when it gets to 6pm I'm going to turn my phone off,' she says. 'Or I'm going to put it on silent or in the other room and then pick it up again at 8am the next day.'

Ronnie Wood's cuties are in for a crafty Christmas

An unlikely Christmas tradition has begun in the house of rock star Ronnie Wood.

The 70-year-old Rolling Stone became a father for the fifth and sixth time last year when his wife Sally Humphreys gave birth to twins, Alice and Gracie, and the couple have taken to dressing up the little ones in adorable festive attire.

Exactly one year since Sally, 39, crafted papier-mache Christmas pudding outfits for the girls, she has posted this snap online of one of her daughters being fitted into the body of a snowman suit made from plastic cups, while her sister lends a helping hand. In later photos, Sally also showed off matching headwear.

Whatever will they come up with next year?
