Sunday Funday! Hilary Duff makes rare appearance with older sister Haylie as they take the star's son Luca to a Los Angeles Farmer's Market

The holidays are right around the corner and the Duff sisters are getting a head start on family time.

Hilary Duff spent Sunday morning alongside her sister Haylie Duff and her son Luca, age five, at the Farmer’s Market in Los Angeles.

The Younger star’s boyfriend, Matthew Koma, did not join them for the outing.

The 30-year-old Lizzie McGuire vet was cute and casual while walking the market on Sunday.

She wore ripped boyfriend jeans, a grey crew neck sweatshirt, and black tennis shoes.

Over her shoulder was a grey fringe purse and her hair was in tousled waves. The actress wore large black sunglasses to shield her eyes from the Cali sun.

Haylie donned a white beanie, sunglasses, and a black flowing cardigan. She was responsible for pushing the stroller full of goodies and mom necessities.

Luca wore yellow shorts, a striped zip-up hoodie, and red high-top tennis shoes. His shirt said ‘like a boss.’

He walked alongside his mom as they stopped at stand after stand for snacks. He later zipped down an inflatable slide.

It’s an open door policy at Hilary’s house for the holidays. Everyone gathers at the pop-singer’s humble abode for the Christmas Eve festivities said eldest sister Haylie Duff in an interview with Us Weekly.

'We tend to have an open-door policy around my family. We end up having a straggler or two…my mom’s friends or something like that.'

The 7th Heaven actress said she’s not sure whether her sister’s boyfriend, Koma, will be joining them for Christmas. Good new is that she didn't hesitate to endorse the couple.

‘They seem to be really happy and I adore Matthew. I just want her to be happy and to find the guy that makes her happy,' she said. 'If she’s happy, I’m happy. I’ve always liked Matthew and I think he is a really good, solid guy.’

Every family has their holiday traditions and the Duff sisters are no exception. Hilary and Haylie have a special sister gift exchange that they look forward to every year.

‘We actually adopted this idea from my mom and my aunt,” Haylie told Us. ‘They have always exchanged a sister gift in private, away from the rest of the family, and so my sister and I do that every year.’

She went on to say, ‘One of my favorite gifts that she got me was when I was pregnant with Ryan. We used to call her Cheerio because in all of my ultra sound pictures, she just looked like this tiny little Cheerio in there. So she had this little rose gold diamond Cheerio necklace made for me. It sticks out as a really special sister gift.”
