Wearing her glossy locks down in loose waves, the royal opted for a subtle make-up look, wearing a berry colour on her lips.

Letizia was met by President of BBVA Bank Francisco Gonzalez as she arrived at the awards ceremony in the Spanish capital today.

The Accion Magistral Prize aims to recognise the work of teachers, particularly when it comes to promoting social values.

The organisation aims to allow Spanish teachers to share their knowledge, as well as providing educational resources.

Later in the day, she joined husband King Felipe to host a lunch for Ecuador's President Lenin Moreno and his wife Rocio Gonzalez at the Royal Palace.

Letizia's appearance comes after the royal spent four days in Senegal last week.

The aim of the trip was to support Spanish co-operation projects, including the defence of women's rights and social and economic developments in the country.

The Spanish royal was met on Monday by First Lady Marieme Faye Sall, the wife of the country's President Macky Sall, as she touched down at Dakar airport.

Look pretty in petals like Queen Letizia

Queen Letizia is well known for her immaculate style, and her latest look is yet another seriously chic ensemble that earns her the wardrobe crown for the day too!

The Royal was spotted reworking a black and white dress from one of her fave designers, Felipe Varela and styled it beautifully with shiny heels and a Miu Miu clutch bag.

She previously wore this floral number a few years back, but the classic design and colour way feels just as fresh now - its totally timeless!

As its a few season's old, this petal-powered design isn't available to buy any more but there are plenty of similar monochrome marvels to choose from.

We have rounded up the best of the bunch below from the likes of Farfetch, Harrods, PrettyLittleThing and Reiss.
