'This is #CharlynWillis. She got engaged yesterday, and meant to text her sister, but in all the excitement, got me instead,' Sarah Michelle wrote in her Facebook post.

'Her sister didn’t respond, but I did. So please help me say congrats, to Charlyn. (And her fiancé whose name I don’t know) #congratulations.'

Charlyn, of course, found Sarah Michelle's message, and proceeded to thank the star.

'Omg! Thank you Sarah!' Charlyn, of Savannah, Georgia, wrote before telling the actress that her fiance's name is Dennis.

'Thank you so much for this,' she added. 'You’ve truly made my engagement experience even more of a life changer!'

Charlyn was so pleased with Sarah Michelle's kind words, she then told the star to look out for an invitation to the big day.

She pledged to also invite Sarah Michelle's husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., 41, as well as their daughter Charlotte, eight, and son Rocky, five.

'Please know when we set a date, I’ll be reaching out to invite you, Freddie, and the kids!' Charlyn wrote.

Sarah Michelle hasn't publicly responded to the invitation, but her original message to Charlyn has been liked more than 12,000 times.

Hundreds of people have also left comments, with many congratulating Charlyn on her engagement.

'Well that's one hell of a wrong number,' someone wrote.

Another person pointed out that Sarah Michelle was lucky, too, since texts sent to a wrong number are usually significantly less exciting and touching than engagement announcements.
