ANT McPartlin collected part of a double bed yesterday — as his wife told of her fears their 11-year marriage is over.
The TV presenter and Lisa Armstrong, 41, have been leading separate lives since he left their £6million home following rehab for a painkiller addiction.
She is said to be considering calling in lawyers, with a source revealing: “She has told several friends the marriage is over.”
His stint hosting I’m A Celebrity in Australia has given them little time to patch up their problems.
Sources close to the couple say the relationship is hanging by a thread.
One told The Sun on Sunday: “Ant’s rented flat was meant to be a temporary arrangement but there are no signs of him moving.
"It’s becoming harder to see a way back. He knows they need heart-to-heart talks but since he has returned from the jungle they just haven’t happened.
“And what’s more, it doesn’t look likely to any time soon.”
The source said Lisa is “all over the place” as she struggles to make up her mind on their future.
They added: “She is clearly not in a good place.
"She has told several friends their marriage is definitely over and that she is considering meeting lawyers to discuss things.
“But on other days she has been more confident they can fix things. She desperately wants it to work out.
“But at times she feels it won’t work no matter what she does, and her only option is to deal with that as best as she can.”
Ant returned to the £1.6million flat, a few streets from the couple’s West London home, following his successful comeback on I’m A Celebrity.
Yesterday he was there to take delivery of a mattress, which was for a neighbour.
Ant’s best pal and TV sidekick Declan Donnelly popped by while out dog-walking.
Ant and Strictly make-up artist Lisa met on the Smash Hits tour in 1994 when he was 18 and she was 17. They wed in Taplow, Bucks, in 2006.
But the couple have since struggled to start a family. News of his two-year painkiller addiction revealed by The Sun on Sunday, tested the marriage further.
Ant made a full recovery after a two-month spell in rehab.
The source added: “Lisa and Ant have remained friendly and he continues to be grateful of her support.
“Lisa was very understanding of his need for time alone. She has always felt he’d come back when ready. But that hasn’t happened.”

Earlier this month, Ant appeared glum as he prepared to return to the UK. He now faces Christmas alone.
The source added: “He’s done brilliantly to recover from his addiction. But it has taken its toll on his marriage as well as his health.
“It remains to be seen whether that can recover as well as he has.”
