And after continuously subjected to negative comments since then, Laura Simpson has defiantly hit back on Twitter, insisting she is unaffected by trolls and 'laughs out loud' at their online taunts.

The mother-of-one decided to hit back on the networking site, after being targeted over her parenting skills when it comes to her daughter Lola.

Laura was catapulted into the spotlight after being photographed with Rooney during a night out in September, which subsequently led to the sports star's arrest for drink driving.

In the fallout from their night together, reports claimed Laura had 'kissed' Wayne, something she has since denied, and led to the footballer becoming estranged from his pregnant wife Coleen Rooney.

Party girl Laura had appeared on This Morning to discuss her night with Rooney and has since been seen being fairly vocal on Twitter, but hitting back at her critics in a lengthy outburst, she insisted she 'laughs out loud' at the comments she has since received from online trolls.

Laura claimed her tweets would be the 'first and last time' she addressed her haters and penned: 'It doesn't bother me so why put negative energy into trying to hurt someone you don't even know...

'Half the photos you comment on don't even look like me, the stuff you say is borderline obsessive and a bit mentally ill. [I'll] carry on living the life you don't see spread all over the paper (because I'm clever and you only see what I want you to see)... enjoying Christmas with my Lola.'

Taking aim at those criticisms that had targeted her as a mother and criticised her parenting skills, Laura hit back: 'Even though I don't need to address this I will... the people that truly know me know my whole wide world revolves around her, always has, always will, I'm obsessed with my child.'

The fiery red-head went on to explain that her daughter Lola stays with her father 'every Thursday and every other weekend', allowing her to take some time to socialise with her friends.

Laura vented: 'My daughter has two parents, that's how you make a baby, believe it or not.

When Lola is with her dad, again believe it or not, I go out with my friends. But all the Mary Poppins mothers that look down on me and have the most vile things to say, GOD FOR F**KING BID I HAVE A SOCIAL LIFE.'

The starlet's tweets came after reports claimed Laura will star on the next series of Celebrity Big Brother, set to return early next year.

Sources claim Laura is demanding a whopping £75,000 paycheck for a stint in the famous Elstree compound in exchange for spilling the beans on what really happened with Wayne on that notorious evening they had spent in each other's company.

An insider told The Sun, she has requested the hefty fee after being originally offered £55,000 by Channel 5 producers, but is reportedly 'holding out for bigger money.'

'She's offered the producers a detailed step by step run through of everything that happened between her and Rooney in the house. It's definitely going to be something that is brought up in conversation.

'The only thing she's reluctant to talk about in depth is her phone conversation with Coleen, however, Laura likes to party so after a few drinks who knows what she might reveal.'

Mother-of-one Laura describes herself as a regional sales and lettings manager, and the source added she is demanding a higher fee to make missing her January earnings worthwhile.

A representative for Laura declined to comment to Mailonline, and a representative for Celebrity Big Brother has also been contacted for comment.

In the wake of Laura's rising fame, Coleen and Wayne have reconciled their relationship, with Coleen confirming she and her footballing beau were working on their marriage - describing the situation as 's**t'.

Laura seemed to slam the mother-of-three's decision, writing in a now-deleted tweet: 'What a load of attention seeking b******s'.

She later added: 'Very very attention seeking if you ask me.'

Her comments sparked a backlash on Twitter, with one commenting: 'Learn to stay away from married men if you don't want s*** off people you s***.'
