They have been honing their skating skills for weeks, ahead of the popular ITV show's big return in January after three years off air.

And the celebrities of Dancing On Ice 2018 showed off their best moves for the first time at the series press launch, held at the Natural History Museum Ice Rink in London on Tuesday.

Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown, 32, was the picture of confidence in a thigh-skimming white leotard, complete with stylish fringed skirt as she hit the ice with partner Matt Evers for the first time, alongside her co-stars.

The baker looked incredibly glamorous in her skimpy performance ensemble - formed of a plunging semi-sheer bodysuit beneath a playful white fringed skirt.

As her first public display on the ice, the outfit was then made more show-stopping with the embellishment of silver gems and sequins all over, which glittered in the light as she displayed her moves to the crowd.

Joined by partner Matt, clad in all-white, the TV star appeared completely at ease in her skates as playfully posed with the American sportsman - balancing on one toe with her leg up, as the pair giggled together in front of cameras.

Candice showed no signs of the nerves she had revealed upon her confirmation to the line-up, as she elegantly glided across the ice with Matt.

Next to arrive at the launch was Donna Air, who showed off her sensationally slender figure in a stylish fishnet mini dress as she hit the ice with partner Matt Hanretty.

The 38-year-old slipped into the chic crochet number, which featured a panel across her chest lined with sequins, before cutting off high at her thigh to leave her long and slender legs on show.

Styling her hair into loose waves and flashing a beaming smile at cameras, the media personality was effortlessly stunning as she posed for cameras, in the arms of her hunky skating partner.

Although expressing some nerves around the ice skating show, the star revealed she was looking forward to reaping the benefits of the intensive ice-skating training earlier this year.

She said: 'It's absolutely terrifying and it's exciting though. It's going to a great series because they've got some really fun people lined up.

'Hopefully I leave with a nice firm bottom and a six-pack or I'll be raging. I think it'll be an amazing experience, get a bit stronger and fitter by the end of it. I haven't got a bottom. It's already going up [getting uplifted] at the moment - going in the right direction.'

Admitting it was harder than it looks after her first stint of training, she added: 'I can dance in the kitchen on a Friday night so we'll just see. It's really difficult and there's loads of work because apparently my posture is terrible and I need to build more core strength.'

Describing the benefits of her active lifestyle, the Coronation Street star told OK! last month: 'I dropped my phone the other day and it flew between my legs. I’ve never had that problem before but now I have a gap... my arms and top half have more definition.'

She continued: 'I’m not saying I have the best body or I’m the slimmest, but I’m really quite happy at the minute. I’m more confident, I’ve got more energy, my skin is dewier and I’m more awake in the mornings.’

Following suit was Kem Cetinay, who flashed a beaming smile at cameras - despite appearing to stumble slightly during his first run on the ice.

The Love Island star was his typically trendy self in a white denim jacket and matching trousers as she sped over to partner Alex Murphy for cameras, but almost lost control as he met her on the ice.

Kem has been openly honest about his lacking ability in skates so far, but recently revealed he is keen to learn, so he can enjoy ice skating trips with his children later on in life.

He said on Lorraine last month: 'I've never skated before. I've seen everyone else doing all these moves, and my trainer goes to me, 'Some people are naturals... you're not!

'I can't get the hang of it, and I've got a few bruises already! But I at least know that one day, when I have kids, I can take them ice skating.'

Hunky rugby player Max Evans proved his skills on the ice as he and partner Ale Izquierdo sped to their photo appearance, while Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford beamed with excitement as joined Brianne Delcourt.

It is no wonder the TV presenter posed proudly in the rink, as he later displayed a seemingly impressive and smooth run on the ice in front of cameras and his co-stars.

Coronation Street's Antony Cotton looked slick and suave in a white suit as he greeted fans at the iconic London ice rink with his playful partner Brandee Malto, clad in an eye-catching fishnet skirt and crop top.

The actor, who plays Sean Tully on the soap, will no doubt thrive on the show as a reality series veteran - having previously appeared on Let's Dance for Comic Relief, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, family Fortunes and I'm A Celebrity... Get me Out Of Here!

Stephanie Waring also proved to be an early front-runner as she glided across the ice with ease, in the arms of series stalwart Sylvain Longchambon.

The 39-year-old looked stunning in a plunging white dress, layered atop a glittering bustier leotard, as she confidently performed for cameras - despite having admitted the show was 'daunting' after her first training session.

She said: 'The first day was pretty tough. I thought I'd be better than I was. I fell over once. It's very technical; it's the way you hold yourself, the positioning of your feet.

The show was hit by chaos last month when former England cricketer Monty Panesar was forced to pull out, after crashing onto the ice during training and breaking his ankle.

However, it was announced a week later that singer Lemar Obika was to replace him - who looked completely at ease on the ice as he made his debut.

Completing the line-up were track and field athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton and TV presenter Cheryl Baker, who were both unable to contain their excitement as they posed with their respective partners.

Dancing On Ice is making its big comeback to television on January 7, after its contract was not renewed back in 2014 following eight successful seasons.

Original hosting duo Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby of This Morning will return to front the revival, while coaches Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will sit on the panel as judges, along with Diversity's Ashley Banjo and famous 'Mr Nasty' Jason Gardiner.

The latest series of the figure skate show will move from the famous Elstree studios to Bovingdon Airfields - a location featured in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows.

An insider told MailOnline: 'It is a temporary build at Bovingdon and will comprise of two ice rinks - a training rink and the studio for the live show.'

While the group were clearly excited about their upcoming appearance on the show, many of the contestants were seen sporting a number of injuries as they posed - proving training to be taking its toll.

Brooke, Candice and Stephanie could all be seen with large red and black bruises on their legs, while Perri sported a painful dark shadow across her right knee.
