He has openly blasted Emily Ratajkowski for claiming her recent LOVE Magazine video is a symbol of feminism.

And Piers Morgan was left in stitches on Wednesday's episode of Good Morning Britain, after Susanna Reid gave him the model's calendar for Christmas.

The 52-year-old could not contain his laughter as he opened his 'empowering' present from Susanna - who he had blasted as 'pompous' in another debate about the model - before the pair closed the show with The Pogues' famous festive hit.

Festive cheer: The presenters later looked back at their best bits of 2017, and ended the show by dancing to The Pogues' Fairytale Of New York (above) 

In their last show until January, Piers, Susanna and Charlotte Hawkins were seen presenting each other with Christmas gifts.

Charlotte was given a manual on how to ballroom dance, following her stint on Strictly Come Dancing, while Susanna received a self-help book about dealing with difficult people, in a playful dig at Piers.

However things became more hysterical when Piers opened his present, revealed to be an Emily Ratajkowski calendar - who he has been criticising for claiming to be a 'feminist' in recent weeks.

Piers and Susanna had clashed over the model's LOVE Magazine clip once again on the show - making her present of the calendar even more funny.

Piers revealed the pair had argued on social media the previous evening about whether the video, which sees a lingerie-clad Emily writhe around in spaghetti, was empowering to women or not.

Piers said: 'We took the desk to Twitter last night and got into it about Susanna's hilarious belief that writhing naked in spaghetti like Emily Ratajkowski is now the feminist ideal, like Emmeline Pankhurst risked life, limb and liberty for.

With things becoming more fraught between the pair, Piers later removed his earpiece - and revealed producers were telling him to calm down.

He said: 'Sorry, they're shouting in my ear. You know what, you lot can go away as I'm enjoying this conversation and you're boring me.'

However Susanna continued to stand by the model, adding: 'She was talking about harassment and all of the allegations that have emerged over the last few months and she was doing an exaggerated form of her expression of her body.'
