Bruised Brooke Vincent reveals her slimmer size 8 figure in fringed leotard as she joins professional skating partner Matej Silecky at Dancing On Ice photocall

Filming commitments are currently being juggled with a challenging new role on the forthcoming series of rejuvenated celebrity talent show Dancing On Ice.

And the inevitable difficulties that come with perfecting the tricky moves demanded by mentors Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean appeared to have taken their toll on a notably slimmer Brooke Vincent, who revealed a sizeable bruise while attending an official photo-call on Tuesday afternoon.

Clearly confident with her newly-slim figure, Brooke happily slipped into the tiny fringed leotard and fishnet tights as she sped around the rink with partner Matej - before the pair pulled a number of funny faces for cameras.

Describing the benefits of her active lifestyle, the Coronation Street star told OK! last month: 'I dropped my phone the other day and it flew between my legs. I’ve never had that problem before but now I have a gap... my arms and top half have more definition.'

She continued: 'I’m not saying I have the best body or I’m the slimmest, but I’m really quite happy at the minute. I’m more confident, I’ve got more energy, my skin is dewier and I’m more awake in the mornings.’

Brooke recently revealed she's given up cigarettes and alcohol in a bid to be in the best shape possible ahead of the show's return in January.

She told The Sun: '[My life has changed] Massively. I've not drunk. We've had a bit of a strict routine. We're trying. I'm happy - I've got a good teacher.'

The soap star was the first celebrity confirmed for the forthcoming tenth series of Dancing On Ice in late October.

Appearing on This Morning in late October, she said: 'I love a challenge and ice skating, what an amazing skill. I'm more impressed with the fact I can go with the girls and be like, "I can do this, I can do that", and they'll be holding onto the sides.'

She admitted she has dreamed of appearing on the show - which will return next year after four years off screen - for a long time.

She added: 'It's exciting because I've watched it for years and always thought it would be so good one day to do that and dress in those outfits and learn such a massive skill from two of the best, I'm just really excited.'

The latest series of the figure skate show will move from the famous Elstree studios to Bovingdon Airfrields - a location featured in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows.

An insider told MailOnline: 'It is a temporary build at Bovingdon and will comprise of two ice rinks - a training rink and the studio for the live show.'

Dancing On Ice will return on January 7.
