It has been reported that her mother was 'so worked up' about Justin Bieber that she was admitted to hospital last week.

But Selena Gomez happily cheered on her man as she watched him play a game of ice hockey in Los Angeles on Monday.

The actress, 25, looked delighted as she watched the Baby hitmaker, 23, from the stands while he whizzed across the rink.

A seasoned ice hockey player, Justin looked in the zone as he showed off his skills on the ice.

The hitmaker was clad in a professional skating white jersey and bulky bottoms, as well as sturdy helmet on his head.

Taking a break from his signing abilities, Justin was happily showing off his talents for ice hockey.

And it looked like Justin was clearly aiming to impress, as his other half Selena was spotted cheering him on in the stands.

Her luscious blonde locks were seen tied into a chic bun, complementing her glamorous slick of make-up.

Their sighting comes after reports that that Selena's mother Mandy Teefey had a 'heated conversation' with her over Justin, which led to a voluntary 'welfare' check-up.

According to TMZ, Selena's family will 'never forgive him or accept [Justin]' for their complicated split in 2014.

A source told the website that Mandy was taken to a welfare centre in Los Angeles for a health check 'at a family member's request'.

TMZ has previously reported that Justin is a 'huge trigger' for Selena's family and have reportedly said they intent to stay away from him.

The discussion reportedly became heated when Selena's mother learned how 'serious' the reunion was.

Justin and Selena began dating as teenagers in 2011 and spent three years in an on and off relationship.

They initially blamed work schedules for their first split in November 2012 and they briefly reconciled in April 2013, much to fans' delight.

But things turned more sinister when Justin admitted that trust was the issue in his on-again/off-again relationship with Selena.

In 2015, Justin told ID magazine: 'It's like trust and all this other stuff that starts messing with your mind.
