Well it IS the season of goodwill! Nina Dobrev catches the eye in frayed denim jacket emblazoned with a heartfelt message as she goes Christmas shopping in Los Angeles
It might be the week before Christmas but that didn't mean Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev broke a sweat as she sauntered through the Los Angeles shopping district looking for the perfect presents.
The 28-year-old, most famous for playing Elena Gilbert on the teen vampire show, donned a baggy denim jacket with the words 'make love not war', with a red heart emblazoned at the front and back.
The brunette star smiled for the cameras before pounding the pavement as she made a dash to finish her shopping.

Wear your heart on your sleeve with Nina Dobrev's denim shirt
We love this embroidered denim shirt worn by Nina Dobrev whilst out and about in LA this week. The shirt featured a cute heart on the pocket and at the back reads 'Make Love Not War' by designer Lauren Moshi. Buy Nina's exact shirt now for $176 from the brand's website.
Embroidered denim shirts incorporating a bit of color are a really great alternative to your basic plain denim shirt. Think maximum impact with minimal effort. And it's been a real trend this year thanks to the western trend that was huge on the catwalk for AW17 (see Calvin Klein for inspo).
For a touch of floral fancy, head to & Other Stories, where you'll find their embroidered denim shirt. At $115 it's a steal and will look perfect with black skinny jeans and ankle boots. For the minimalists amongst you, Joe's Jean's fuss free embroidered denim shirt can be worn open over a plain white tee. Complete the look with jeans and biker boots for a chic spin on off-duty cool.
The Perks Of Being a Wallflower actress rocked her short bob haircut and wore cat-eye, face-covering sunglasses.
Sporting a makeup-free look, the Bulgarian-Canadian beauty showed that even L.A gets cold as she wrapped up in what seemed to be a Burberry classic cashmere scarf.
The breakout star of Degrassi: The Next Generation wore a casual t-shirt underneath her bold denim jacket.

Still no luck: Nina's retail therapy didn't end in an abundance of shopping bags as the actress appeared empty-handed while the Beverly Hills sun started setting
Born Nikolina Dobreva, the 28-year-old showed off her slender legs in a skintight pair of black leggings.
She clutched her small handbag which complemented her leggings and shoes.
Her boots were as bold as her jacket, which had hearts with a lightening symbol through it and a peace sign, with gold and red glitter stars printed across her shoes.
Legging it: The young actress navigated through the busy traffic to get to the designer stores on the other side of the road
Cutting off her long dark tresses, the star debuted her short bob at the premier of her latest film Flatliners.
She features in the star-studded film with the likes of Ellen Page, Keifer Sutherland and James Norton, who is widely touted to be the new James Bond.
Nina, who previously dated her Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder told a fan who asked to marry her via Twitter: 'I am married to my career at the moment. I'm engaged to my dog. So unfortunately, I'm taken.'
Fired up: Nina plays a medical student on a daring and dangerous experiment which involves stopping her heart for short periods of time
