Christmas is right around the corner, and the cast of the Today show couldn't resist sharing their favorite memories about being home for the holidays.

On Monday morning's show, Today correspondent Jenna Bush Hager, 36, got particularly emotional when she recalled how her father, President George W. Bush, would read the Bible to her on Christmas Eve.

'I think of people more than places. I automatically go back to my dad reading the Bible to us on Christmas Eve,' Jenna said. 'I don't know why, but that's where I go. And we'll be with them again, so I'm excited!'

Jenna, who is clearly excited to be heading back to her home state of Texas for the holidays, appeared to get betting a bit choked up while sharing the holiday memory on the show.

Her co-star Hoda Kotb went on to note that Jenna's openness is one of the things she admires about her.

'You know what I love about Jenna? You put your heart on the table. That's what you do. I love that about you,' she said.

Although Jenna and her fraternal twin sister, Barbara Bush, are now adults, their father still finds a way to share his faith with them.

Barbara revealed a few months ago that their father, whom she lovingly calls 'Popsicle,' texts her illustrated religious meditations every morning.

The former president has also taken to reading to Jenna's daughters, Mila and Poppy, who were photographed spending some quality time with their grandfather in September.

Mila, four, and Poppy, two, are undoubtedly excited for the holiday, and the two sisters were recently filmed using a magical want to light their Christmas tree — with a little help from their mom.

While Jenna shared a story about her father reading the Bible, her co-star and neighbor, Savannah Guthrie, said the first thing that comes to her mind when she thinks about being home for the holidays is her parents' home.

'I think of Tuscon, Arizona, the house I grew up in. My mom still lives there,' she explained.

A few weeks ago, Savannah took to Instagram to share a blurry photo of herself posed with her family at Rockefeller Center when she was a child.

'My mom found this old picture of us visiting the Rock Center Christmas tree. It made me smile. Guess mom was taking the picture,' the 45-year-old  wrote.

Another recent throwback photo sees Savannah posed with her sister, Annie Guthrie, and her brother, Camron Guthrie, in front of their Christmas tree when they were children.

She explained to her co-stars that she could tell who was on the stairs of her family home based on their footsteps when she was a kid.

'You just know the place and the people so well,' she added.

Savannah and her husband, Mike Feldman, will be celebrating the holidays with their three-year-old daughter, Vale, and one-year-old son, Charley.

Little Vale has already gotten into the Christmas spirit, as Savannah caught her daughter hugging their Christmas tree before they decorated it.

Dylan Dreyer, 36, was also reminded of her childhood home when thinking of being home for the holidays.

'I think of the living room of the home I grew up in,' said the Today meteorologist, who grew up in New Jersey.

Dylan noted that the old home had a 'yellow' carpet' and other 'retro' decor that she will never forget.

'I can close my eyes and walk through the entire house I grew up in,' she added. 'My parents sold it a long time ago, and I could remember every inch of it.'

Like her other co-stars, Dylan recently shared old photographs of herself enjoying the holiday season as a child.

One picture sees her holding an ornament in front of her family's Christmas tree when she was a toddler, and in another she is older, and posed in front of the tree with her two older brothers.

As a new mom, Dylan is now making memories of her own, and earlier this month, she and her husband, Brian Fichera, took their son, Calvin, to pick out his first Christmas tree.

A few weeks later, the boy celebrated his first birthday on December 17.

'Dearest Calvin, from the second I met you, I knew our lives were changed forever. Thank you for the absolute joy you've brought into our lives this past year,' the mom wrote on Instagram. 'Happy 1st Birthday!! Our hearts are yours forever and ever!'

While Jenna, Savannah, and Dylan looked back on their childhoods, Al Roker, 63, spoke about his family coming to visit his home, where he lives with his wife, Deborah Roberts, and their children, Leila and Nicholas.

'I think about my home now. You know, my parents have been gone for awhile — just having my kids around and my brothers and sisters come by,' he said.

Al and his son recently chopped down their Christmas tree together, and he happily shared a photo of the tree when it was finally decorated.

'Got our #Christmas #tree #2017 up finally,' he wrote.

Hoda, 53, was the last to share, and she said being home for the holidays makes her think of her hometown.

'I think about Morgantown, West Virginia, where we grew up, and I remember racing down the stairs,' she said. 'Remember when you go back to your old home and look at it and it seems oddly unremarkable?'

Hoda noted that the hill she used to sled down and the the stairs she used to run down all seem smaller than they used to when she was a child.

This is bound to be an unforgettable holiday for Hoda, who will be celebrating her first Christmas as a mom.

The Today show anchor adopted her nearly-one-year-old daughter, Haley Joy, in February 2016, and she and her partner, financier Joel Schiffman, already had a blast picking out a Christmas tree for their little girl.

'Christmas spirit — check! Tree — check! Haley Joy’s first Christmas on the way!' she wrote on Instagram.
