'The result is incredible': Adele's emotional rendition of pal George Michael's Fast Love will be aired in the 'opening credits' of the late icon's Freedom documentary

There was not a dry eye in the audience as she paid tribute to George Michael earlier this year at the Grammys.

And Adele is set to honour the late icon, who passed away on Christmas Day last year, once again in his new Freedom documentary - set to air on Channel 4 on Monday night.

The British star's rendition of her George's Fast Love is said to be so 'incredible' that it will now feature in the opening credits of the documentary - which will also feature the likes of Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.

George was working on the documentary Freedom before he died in December at the age of 57 - and it has now been completed with the help of his close pals.

It was said that Adele made a late addition to the celebrity tributes for the special one-off, as she entered the recording studio to record her version of George's Fast love.

It was claimed of the moment: 'George’s best friend David Austin, who was making the film with him, asked her if she would be involved and she said yes straight away.'

Continuing on to The Mirror, a source revealed: 'She was a massive fan and wanted to make sure her tribute was perfect.

Back in February, Adele was onstage at the Grammys in front of a band and a screen showing photo and video montage of Michael, who'd died aged 53 on Christmas Day.

She stopped in the middle of his 1996 song Fastlove, not long after she sang the uncensored version of the song's phrase 'all this bulls*** conversation.'

The Tottenham native said: 'I know it's live TV. I'm sorry. I f***ed it up. I can't do it again like last year,' and went on to insist: 'I can't mess this up for him.'
