The Force must be strong with this one! Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda accidentally receives a Star Wars still of a half-naked Kylo Ren after someone sent it to the wrong number

  • Lin-Manuel Miranda, 37, took to Twitter earlier this week to share a screenshot of a text that someone sent him by accident
  • The message was comprised solely of a photo of a topless Kylo Ren, Adam Driver's character in the new Star Wars movies
  • Whoever sent it initially apologized by saying 'Sorry wrong number', but, presumably after seeing Lin-Manuel's tweet, changed it to 'Sorry right number'
  • In response, Lin-Manuel wished the send a merry Christmas and added: 'May the force be with you!'
  • Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, 40, also recently received a message by mistake after a woman sent her engagement selfie to the wrong number

A lucky person accidentally texted Lin-Manuel Miranda a picture of a topless Kylo Ren after entering the wrong number into their phone.

The Hamilton creator, 37, took to Twitter earlier this week to share a screenshot of the message someone sent him unknowingly.

That person, who hasn't been named, sent out the message, which was comprised solely of a photo of a half-naked Kylo Ren, probably in an attempt to reach a fellow fan of Adam Driver's character in the new Star Wars movies.

After receiving the picture, Lin-Manuel shared it on Twitter and wrote: 'Hard to escape Star wars today. Just got this text.'

Lin-Manuel was mesmerized by the message and added: 'Seriously how crazy is that.'

The sender of the message initially apologized by telling Lin-Manuel 'Sorry wrong number', but, presumably after seeing the playwright's tweet, realized who had actually received the text.

Thus, that person replied to Lin-Manuel, this time fully aware of who they were writing to, and said: 'Sorry right number.'

The Hamilton star, in his trademark fashion, replied with a kind message, telling the sender: 'Ha! Merry Christmas and may the force be with you!'

Can't get over it: Lin-Manuel was mesmerized by the message and added in a follow-up tweet: 'Seriously how crazy is that'

Lin-Manuel then made sure to share this latest development with his Twitter followers and posted another screenshot on his timeline yesterday, writing: 'UPDATE! Just got this. Had to reply.'

More than 74,000 people have liked his initial tweet, and many have expressed their amazement that someone accidentally texted the beloved Hamilton composer.

This is the second time in the past few days that a star has received a message destined to someone else.

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar took to Facebook recently to reveal a woman accidentally sent her a photo of herself showing off her engagement ring after her partner popped the question.

The Buffy The Vampire Slayer star, 40, explained that Charlyn Willis, 28, wanted to text her sister, but entered the wrong number—and amazingly, she unknowingly entered the actress' contact instead.

'This is #CharlynWillis. She got engaged yesterday, and meant to text her sister, but in all the excitement, got me instead,' Sarah Michelle wrote in her Facebook post.

'Her sister didn’t respond, but I did. So please help me say congrats, to Charlyn. (And her fiancé whose name I don’t know) #congratulations.'

Charlyn, of course, found Sarah Michelle's message, and proceeded to thank the star.

'Omg! Thank you Sarah!' Charlyn, of Savannah, Georgia, wrote before telling the actress that her fiance's name is Dennis.

'Thank you so much for this,' she added. 'You’ve truly made my engagement experience even more of a life changer!'

Charlyn was so pleased with Sarah Michelle's kind words, she then told the star to look out for an invitation to the big day.

She pledged to also invite Sarah Michelle's husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., 41, as well as their daughter Charlotte, eight, and son Rocky, five.

'Please know when we set a date, I’ll be reaching out to invite you, Freddie, and the kids!' Charlyn wrote.

Sarah Michelle hasn't publicly responded to the invitation, but her original message to Charlyn has been liked more than 12,000 times.

Hundreds of people have also left comments, with many congratulating Charlyn on her engagement.

'Well that's one hell of a wrong number,' someone wrote.

Another person pointed out that Sarah Michelle was lucky, too, since texts sent to a wrong number are usually significantly less exciting and touching than engagement announcements.
