They set tongues wagging after sharing a steamy kiss while leaving the ITV gala last month, after growing close while training for Dancing On Ice.

And Stephanie Waring and Max Evans came under scrutiny once again as they reunited at the dancing competition's press launch in London on Tuesday.

The Hollyoaks actress, 39, beamed as she glided across the rink in a thigh-skimming silver dress, while the rugby ace braved the December chill in an unbuttoned shirt.

The pair stayed close to their dancing partners on the day, with Stephanie posing alongside Sylvain Longchambon while Max beamed next to Ale Izquierdo.

Despite keeping their distance during the launch, the stars took centre-stage in November when they left the ITV gala hand in hand.

Stephanie draped an arm around Max's neck and he scooped her into a clinch with one hand - while chivalrously holding her shoes in the other hand.

They locked lips in s passionate embrace as they enjoyed a rickshaw ride through central London.

Stephanie was the twelfth person confirmed for Dancing On Ice while Max's place was announced in early November.

It looked as though Max had moved on from his glamour model wife Katy Johnson, who he split from earlier this year after a three-year marriage.

They blamed their busy work schedules for the split - as Max had been based in France while playing for Castres Olympique, while Katy stayed in the US to concentrate on modelling.

'Their marriage was under pressure from the start because they didn't see each other for long periods,' a source told The Sun at the time.

'They are trying to get on with their lives at a difficult and painful time - the fairytale had no happy ending.'

Meanwhile, Stephanie split from fellow soap star Michael Greco, 46, earlier this year amid claims it ended over his partying ways.

A pal of the duo told The Sun online: 'Michael loves a night out and is a bit of a party boy, but Steph is more of a homebody.'

The insider added that she was 'really keen' for them to settle down and move in together - but things were reportedly 'moving too fast' for him.
