A crazed motorist left another driver so scared he took his car into a farmer's field in a desperate bid to escape.

Declan McGee was captured on dashcam as he carried out a series of reckless high speed overtaking manoeuvres in his black BMW on the A140 between Yaxley and Earl Stonham, Suffolk.

The 48-year-old overtook a series of cars before suddenly slamming on his brakes heavily in front of a man driving a Suzuki Vitara.

McGee then got out of his motor and tried to approach the petrified Suzuki driver.

Dashcam footage taken from the Vitara showed its driver go off along a slip road and into a field in a bid to get away from a confrontation with McGee.

But when when the Suzuki re-joined the road, McGee, of Cringleford, Norfolk, was waiting for him in his BMW.

Footage showed him once again overtaking before pulling up in front of the Vitara driver causing him to brake hard and skid.

The unnamed victim then mounted a grass verge in a bid to get away but McGee was captured on camera as he drove across the 4x4's path, crashing into him.

Incredibly no-one was injured as a result of road-rage motoring.

He was also ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and told to pay £115 victim's surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Afterwards Sergeant Kieron Pederick slammed his actions.

He said: 'McGee showed a total disregard for the safety of other road users by driving in this way and it is very fortunate that nobody was hurt as a result of his actions.'

The madness unfolded on July 22 July at around 7.40pm.
