The actress sported a cropped brunette wig, laced with streaks of grey, atop of her famous golden tresses - making her look far older than her years.

She slipped into casual navy flares and a pale blue shirt, layered beneath a retro leather jacket of dark green, as she shot a number of scenes as the less-than-glamorous detective.

Only adding to the mature look, the Australian beauty also sported dark shadows under her eyes and additional wrinkles, to transform her into the ageing investigator.

Happily chatting to her fellow cast and crew as she emerged from her trailer, Nicole looked in good spirits as she embarked on another day of filming for the crime drama.

Destroyer follows Nicole's police detective character Erin Bell, who reconnects with people from an undercover assignment from her past that concerned a cult-like gang, and ended in tragedy.

According to Deadline, the leader of that same gang re-emerges years later - forcing Bell to re-address the gang's remaining members in order to 'reckon with the demons that destroyed her past'.

Filming for the flick wraps up a hugely successful year for Nicole, who has also received critical acclaim for her roles in The Beguiled, The Killing of a Sacred Deer and HBO series Big Little Lies.
