Harding was taken off the ice after admitting in court to knowing about her ex-husband's (bottom left) plot to try and break the leg of Kerrigan in a bid to keep her from participating in the 1994 Winter Olympics. The 46-year-old would then later backtracked on her court admission.

Just four days after police in Wasilla arrested Sarah Palin's oldest son Track on domestic violence charges, the former governor of Alaska got a chance to share some good news on Wednesday as she announced her daughter Willow was engaged to be married. 'Good things happen!!! My happiest baby girl Willowand Ricky, last night at Rockefeller Center!!! So, so happy,' wrote Sarah. She then posted two photos of the happy couple along with the moment Ricky got down on one knee at 30 Rock. Sarah later posted a collage of images that included Willow's ring, Willow with Ricky and an image of her children bristol, Willow and Trig along with Track's son Charlie and Ricky.

Val Kilmer posed with his two children, Jack and Mercedes, for THR's Hollywood Legacies issue, in which he revealed he underwent chemotherapy during his two-year battle with throat cancer. The resulting tracheostomy left the Grammy nominee - turning 58 on NYE - with a worryingly raspy voice and shortness of breath, but he credits his devout Christian Scientist faith for carrying him through the crisis.

Nadya Suleman, who now goes by Natalie, says she wants to share her story with other women after admitting her controversial pregnancy led her to the brink of suicide.Speaking to DailyMail.com the mom of 14 revealed: 'Every day I would wake up with the ugliest, dead, visceral feeling inside of me. ' Suleman's notoriety landed her roles in porn films which she has now come to deeply regret. Although she admits residuals from the film help pay the bills.She became infamous in 2009 after undergoing IVF treatment and became pregnant with octuplets, even though she already had six and was unemployed. Now Suleman admits she was 'very foolish, immature and selfish' to have 14 children but can't 'imagine my life at this point in time any different than it is.'

Four of the bodies were removed from two different bridges near Los Cabos International Airport, and two more were found hanging from an overpass between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. The Guzmanes and Tegoripeños drug cartel has reportedly claimed responsibility for Wednesday's carnage.

Olympic gold medalist McKayla Maroney has filed a lawsuit against USA Gymnastics and the United States Olympic Committee accusing them of trying to silence her claims of sexual abuse. Maroney claims in the lawsuit filed on Wednesday that officials made her sign a confidential non-disclosure agreement to keep secret the allegations that she had been sexually abused by former team doctor Larry Nassar. The 22-year-old revealed on Twitter in October that Nassar had allegedly molested her for seven years beginning when she was 13.

Santino, 10, Noah, eight, and Bella, six, (pictured above earlier this month at a Christmas fair) are the children of Yin Wong, (inset) a 33-year-old Sacramento woman who was killed earlier this month in Auburn, California. Wong had gone walking barefoot in the middle of the night at the American River Canyon near Auburn. Police say she died of exposure but by the time she was found, a mountain lion had eaten some of their remains. When she died, the children were still mourning the loss of their grandmother, Mayra Zamora, who died suddenly in February aged 55. In May, Mayra's long-term partner Lorenzo, who looked after the children and was their grandfather figure, was deported to Mexico.

Coca-Cola's seasonal cans might look like nondescript household items, but they actually contain hidden messages that can easily go unseen. From their eyes and eyelashes to their noses, the polar bears on the cans carry secret symbols that seem shockingly obvious once the sneaky signs are pointed out. The brand previously disclosed the secret symbols last year, but the hidden drawings received renewed attention earlier this month when a Reddit user spotted them. Frederic Kahn, the design director of Coca-Cola, previously explained that the hidden symbols were placed on the cans intentionally to help signal the brand's identity.

The It crew created an alternate opening for the blu-ray release of the latest remake of Stephen King's classic horror tale. The scene, which is included in the movie's January 9 blu-ray, puts a unexpectedly hilarious spin on what has long been acknowledged as a particularly horrific and iconic scene in which a little boy comes to a bad end after listening to a clown in a sewer.

Los Angeles Vimeo user and TV director Ben Pluimer recently filmed his friend Mike McCafferty's bird Lucky singing as he ties his shoes. The cockatiel serenades him with a note-for-note imitation of the famous ringtone, seemingly in a bid to keep his owner from leaving. After the video went viral, Ben shared an update clip of Lucky listening to his own video, before walking over to the laptop and ripping off the escape key.

Rosie O'Donnell sent out a flurry of tweets late Tuesday night - offering Republican senators $2million in cash in exchange for a 'no' vote on Trump's tax reform bill.  'So how about this, I promise to give 2 million dollars to senator susan collins and 2 million to senator jeff flake if they vote NO' the comedian desperately wrote on Twitter.  'NO I WILL NOT KILL AMERICANS FOR THE SUOER [super] RICH,' she wrote, telling the lawmakers to send her a direct message on Twitter if they were interested in negotiating.  'No s*** 2 million cash each.' The bribery didn't work, though, as Senate Republicans managed to push through the new tax bill by a narrow and last minute margin of 51-48. It's also illegal to offer money to a politician to influence acts such as voting on a bill -but O'Donnell may not know that.

This is the heart-rending moment a Chinese prisoner who had been given a death sentence bid a final farewell to his young daughter. The little girl was apparently too young to understand the significance of the meeting. She happily waved to her crying father and said 'bye bye dad' - without realizing what the separation would mean to the rest of her life.

The three were on vacation with Anna's husband Moises (left), and the couple's older son David, 15 (right, obscured), who were both injured. The family were among a group of 31 cruise ship passengers being ferried from the port in Mahahual on Tuesday to Mayan ruins about a mile away. The bus crashed, killing 12 and injuring 18. A Mexican prosecutor on Wednesday blamed the crash on excess speed and a negligent driver.

Laura Micetich was clinically obese at just 22 years old, weighing 314 pounds with high blood pressure and hyperthyroidism, while being an inevitable candidate for heart disease. The 26-year-old began getting healthy by going to the gym, lifting weights and eating a clean diet, leading her to shed 129 pounds. She cut out everything from her diet except for clean proteins and green vegetables, while adopting a five day weightlifting and cardio routine for one month. What initially began as trying to be a candidate for weight loss surgery, turned into a love of fitness, helping her get to her current weight of 185 pounds

Giphy has released its round-up of the most popular GIFs of the year, and though some are no-brainers, others may come as a surprise. The website announced that 300 million people share over two billion of the moving image files every day, but not all GIFs are created equal. Some seem to tap into universal truths better than others, making them go-tos to express particular emotions. Others are just cute.  But one thing that every GIF in the top 25 have in common? Each was shared at least 32 million times this year.

Samantha Ciotta, 32, was charged on Monday in Beaumont, California over the alleged sexual relationship with her student that took place back in June. The Beaumont High English teacher was arrested in September after she was allegedly spotted in a drunken Snapchat video wearing 'a shirt and panties' with two shirtless teen boys. The teenager initially told police he was 'not f***ing talking' about the allegations but spoke up when he learned Ciotta had said he had 'ruined her life'. The boy allegedly admitted to having sex with the teacher at least five times over several months and that he couldn't remember how many times she had performed oral sex on him because he was often drunk.

NEW A Sydney 'comedian' has swallowed a live fish inside a pet store as part of a grim series of dares with one of his mates - only to vomit it up minutes later.  Trent Hunt selected his victim of choice from a large tank of goldfish at a Petbarn in Penrith, in Sydney's east, before throwing it down his throat the second a staff member turned away. In a theatrical performance for a video, which was later shared to Facebook, the 22-year-old flashed his tongue to prove he had in fact swallowed the small fish. 

A new online gallery has revealed the hilarious and very unfortunate snaps shared by couples online.Many sweet snaps took a turn after being photobombed by outside elements. Elsewhere over amorous partners make for a cringeworthy portrait that may just put you off your breakfast, with one shot seeing a woman lick her boyfriend's face.

Haunting images have emerged from inside an abandoned state hospital where it is said the ghost of a young girl walks the corridors.  Legend states the girl, dressed in a white gown, stares out of the window of the Fairfield Hills State Hospital in Newtown, Connecticut.  The hospital is a derelict psychiatric asylum where tales of cruelty and mistreatment have cast a shadow over the establishment.  The hospital is said to have been the first place to perform a lobotomy on a mentally ill patient in the United States.

Deputies in Isabella, Minnesota, shot and killed a female black bear. The animal attacked Bill Vagts, 68 (right), and his dog on Tuesday morning. She then attacked two construction workers nearby, but everyone survived. Two men are in the hospital and expected to fully recover. Lake County deputies tracked the bear and fatally shot it after the attacks.

A video captured the painful moment a swing snapped under a father and son. The pair were sitting on swing in Ohio leisurely rocking back and forth when disaster struck. The chain broke, sending the duo tumbling to the ground.The father and son are unharmed, and the young boy seems oblivious to anything out of the ordinary.

Thomas Romain, a French animation creator living in Tokyo, has collaborated with his sons Ryunosuke, 11, and Itsuki, eight, on a series of 45 drawings. The pictures, which feature a wide range of whimsical creatures, has earned Romain more than 100,000 followers on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, where he shares videos showcasing their design process.
