He wrote: 'I have a broken heart until I can talk or see my step daughter! Angel is my blood daughter as much as my other daughters are, and Even though I would receive NO I repeat NO money from seeing her she was snatched away from me after Angel was told that I would still be able to see her and she asked me while she was crying to promise I would never abandon her and have not seen her or been able to respond to angel as I am not her legal guardian just a stepfather!!
'Since this is NOT something the court ordered it is the right of the biological mother to do this crazy tactic, and since I never adopted Angel I have no rights but thank god I have been granted the right to fight in court by my judge!!!
Why any mother would want there daughter who was raised from infant and loved to never see her father as a nasty divorce tactic when my daughter Madison is allowed to which makes Angel feel like she has been abandoned is so perplexing I’m at a loss of words!!! #iloveuangel #ididntabandonyou #stepfather [sic]'.

Speaking out: In an Instagram post on Sunday, the 42-year-old producer shared a picture of himself cuddling Angel, as well as his biological daughter with Mel, six-year-old Madison along with an impassioned rant
It was first reported in April that Stephen was 'fighting to maintain contact' with step-daughter Angel Iris, Mel's daughter with Hollywood star Eddie Murphy.
TMZ claimed Belafonte hoped to win visitation rights with the ten-year old, who was born in April 2007, two-months before he married former Spice Girl Mel in Las Vegas.
Belafonte allegedly believes Murphy, 56, has played a limited role in Angel’s life while he has acted as the child’s stepfather, sharing parental responsibilities with Mel throughout their decade long marriage.
Extracts from a letter reportedly delivered to Mel’s lawyer on March 31 read: ‘Stephen would like to schedule a meeting as soon as possible to discuss the resolution of temporary issues including his ability to see Madison and Angel, whom we would appreciate continuing to have contact with.’
Split: Stephen and Mel are in the midst of a bitter divorce battle. Mel filed for divorce from the producer in March 2017
As Mel and Belafonte settled in court last week it was thought that an agreement was reached so that Belafonte could see his daughter Madison, six, whom he shares with the America's Got Talent judge.
Custody of Madison and Belafonte’s application for step-father visitation of 10 year -old Angel - Mel B’s daughter by Eddie Murphy - are still to be settled.
Mel and Belafonte, both 42, married in 2007 but the singer filed for divorce in March this year citing 'irreconcilable differences' and claimed domestic abuse.
Mel is also mother to daughter Phoenix, 18, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, whilst Belafonte has daughter Giselle, 12, with ex Nicole Contreras.

The battle for custody comes after Mel dropped her domestic violence restraining order against her former nanny on Monday, avoiding an embarrassing trial.
DailyMail.com understands lawyers for the former Spice Girl and her ex-nanny, Lorraine Gilles, reached a deal late on Friday after an eight-month legal battle.
Mel took out restraining orders against Gilles and her husband, Belafonte after filing for divorce, alleging that the two had plotted to make embarrassing sex tapes of her.
The America's Got Talent judge settled her domestic violence case against Belafonte last week, lifting his restraining order.
Judge Mark Juhas issued a short statement at LA Superior Court confirming Mel's deal with Gilles.
'In the Brown v Gilles matter the court received information that the case has been resolved. As a result no one will be appearing this morning,' he said. 'The domestic violence restraining order has been dissolved. The civil harassment restraining order was dissolved last Thursday.'

Judge Juhas had merged both Belafonte and Gilles' restraining orders to be dealt with in the same trial scheduled to start on Monday.
Gilles, who claims she enjoyed group sex with Mel and Belafonte during their marriage, helped to raise the star's three children, Pheonix, 18, from her previous marriage to Jimmy Gulzar, Madison, six, her daughter with Belafonte and Angel, 11, her daughter with comic Eddie Murphy.
Mel later admitted in court that she had a relationship with Gilles.
She has always denied the claims made by Mel, real name Melanie Brown, and sued her for defamation after the star branded her a 'prostitute' and a 'homewrecker' in court papers.
Moving forward: After the restraining order against him was removed on Thursday last week, Belafonte said he's the 'happiest guy in the world'
The defamation case is pending. Gilles did, however, say she willingly took part in threesomes with Mel and Belafonte.
Her court papers claimed: 'At no point did Gilles and Belafonte engage in any sexual acts without Brown’s knowledge or participation and at no point did Gilles and Belafonte represent to Brown that Gilles was pregnant with Belafonte’s child.'

He and Mel, both 42, can now move forward with hearings for their divorce.
Belafonte's legal team was planning on using 56 videos as evidence in the upcoming trial featuring Mel, claiming to show the star taking cocaine and in a 'sexual activity'.
Judge Juhas said he would return the controversial videos submitted as exhibits by Belafonte - 20 of which allegedly showed sexual situations involving Mel - to Belafonte.
