A source told The Sun: 'Amber wanted her boobs a bit bigger and decided there was no better time to have them done.

'She's had a rough few months and being dumped by Dan was the final straw. She's focusing on herself now and this has been a real confidence boost for her.'

And at the beginning of December Amber teased her surgery, taking to Instagram as she jetted out of the country, writing: 'Airport vibes. Super excited for the week ahead with elite cosmetic surgery'.

Last month, the reality star was left heartbroken when she discovered her on-off beau had bedded a mystery woman behind her back during a lads' trip to Ireland.

Amber and Dan first controversially embarked on a romance while she had been dating her ex-beau of four years Jamie Reed.

The reality star had initially denied claims she had stayed at Dan's house while still dating Jamie, but later confessed all, insisting she was 'sorry' she had hurt Jamie.

Following her split from the Essex boy, Amber went on to date Dan, but it became clear the couple were on different pages. Dan decided to call it quits with the starlet, as he claimed she 'wanted a relationship' with him and he was keen to stay single.

Despite proclaiming she was 'over' Dan as The Only Way Is Essex returned to screens in September, Amber was later seen breaking down in tears as she admitted to missing the dark-haired hunk.

Following a number of flirty exchanges, Dan confessed that he too still had feelings for Amber and asked her out on a date to practice their golf skills at a driving range, with the hope of their relationship building.
