But Stephen Bear seemed determined to rekindle his 11-month relationship with Charlotte Crosby, issuing a very public appeal for the Geordie Shore star to forgive him on Friday.

The Celebrity Big Brother alumni, 27, admitted he had 'really messed up' and admitted he wanted to 'spend the rest of my life' with Charlotte, in a heartfelt Instagram appeal.

Stephen shared a series of loved-up snaps of the couple - who broke things off last month - on his social media page on Friday.

He wrote: 'Dear Charlotte, I really messed up, if I can rewind the clock back maybe I wouldn’t of done the things I did and say. Life’s about making mistakes. I’ve just been really sad recently and I need to get it off my chest.' 

'I no being with me isn’t easy and I will probably send you insane in the end and I really do care and still love you (sic).'

No doubt feeling morose about facing the festive period as a singleton, he added: 'It might be too late but all I can do is try. The New Years coming up and I would love to spend the rest of my life with you.

'I’ve done my best and put it out there . I don’t show my feeling often so it will be a very long time before you see me open up again (sic).'

He added that he would text Charlotte, 27, but can't reach her phone - and encouraged her to message him on Instagram.

'I would watsapp you but you’ve changed your number would be nice to slide in my DM though if you see this xx', he concluded.

Charlotte, who is currently enjoying a wild holiday in Dubai with pals, is yet to comment on Bear's declaration of love. 

Bear's public apology come after he slammed rumours that he was dating 18-year-old Argos worker.

He said on Twitter: 'Just to Clarify .. I’m not dating anyone , all this stuff I’m reading is b****x ... don’t want my name associated with anyone’s for now as Charlotte was an amazing girlfriend. 

'People brake up but there’s a whole load of stuff behind the scenes what the public doesn’t see (sic).'

His comments come after sources claimed the Ex On The Beach star is now dating 18-year-old shop assistant Elizabeth Randell after meeting her two weeks ago at an Essex nightclub.

A source told The Sun: 'Bear and Elizabeth met when he did a personal appearance at Kosho in Romford – it was a night called Fraternity – and he was sitting at a table and they got talking.

According to the newspaper, the blonde teen has even been given Stephen's blessing to post pictures of them together across her social media accounts.

MailOnline had contacted a representative for Stephen for comment at the time.

Meanwhile, Charlotte also proved she was moving on as she was spotted passionately kissing Ex On The Beach star Joshua Ritchie at a boxing match at the weekend.

Charlotte confirmed her status as a 'strong and single' woman last month, following her break-up from Stephen.

She and Bear had been plagued by splits in the last few weeks of their 11-month romance, with the duo seeming to split and reunite on several occasions. 

The couple hit a crisis after the former scaffold worker was pictured heading home from a Halloween party with a mystery brunette in tow, amid claims of a reconciliation with Charlotte.

Charlotte's roller-coaster romance with Stephen seemingly came to a screeching halt in October and had appeared to be acrimonious at first, with the couple being plagued by 'cheating' claims and Charlotte feuding with Bear's family on Twitter.  

The Geordie star said she was feeling 'in good shape' last week, after confessing she had no appetite during her split from fellow reality star Stephen Bear. 

She told Closer magazine: 'I'm in good shape at the moment as I'm on the heartbreak diet. No Ben & Jerry's or Christmas cake for me - I can't eat.'

Discussing her Christmas plans, she added: 'I'll probably have my family round to my house up in Newcastle. You've got to have family around you at this time of year.

'But having said that, I've decided I don't like Christmas. I'll probably stay in bed all day - it's actually just like any other boring day.'
