They became pals after meeting on James Corden's Late Late Show in April, bonding over a joint love of jiu jitsu.

And Demi Lovato and Charlie Hunnam revealed their surprising friendship on Wednesday, as they met up for a late lunch in West Hollywood.

The 25-year-old singer and 37-year-old actor kept a low profile as they enjoyed the meal with another couple, before leaving separately.

Demi rocked a casual ensemble as she exited the eatery, rocking classic black skinny jeans with a white t-shirt and a taupe waterfall cardigan.

Glamming up the look with black strappy heels, the Confident songstress kept her ebony locks tightly tied back in a low bun.

The star rocked a slick of mascara with her glowing skin and perfectly defined brows as she joined Charlie for the meal.

The Sons of Anarchy star kept a low profile in a grey shirt, black jeans and a black gilet, keeping his head down in a grey flat cap.

The pair became friends after meeting on James Corden's Late Late Show in April, where they discovered a joint love of jiu jitsu.

While it is not clear whether this led to their friendship, the pair appeared to be in good spirits as they spent several hours on the lunch together.

Charlie has been in a relationship with Morgana McNelis since 2005, while Demi has been back on the market after splitting from MMA fighter Guilherme Vasconcelos in May.
