Stephen Belafonte goes shopping with daughter Madison, six, in LA... after settling custody battle with ex Mel B during acrimonious split

He finally came to a custody agreement with ex Mel B last week, after weeks of warring over their little girl.

And Stephen Belafonte wasted no time in resuming his dad duties on Wednesday, as he took daughter Madison shopping in LA.

The film producer, 42, looked in good spirits as he spent quality time with his sweet six-year-old - first stopping by a local store before heading home to enjoy the rest of their afternoon.

Stephen kept things causal for the outing in black sports trousers, a matching jacket and vibrant orange trainers as he treated his little girl to a fun day out.

Meanwhile Madison looked adorable in a striped pink tunic and matching leggings as she excitedly followed her dad round the shops, with co-ordinating pink bows in her hair.

Stephen and Mel's divorce was finally granted earlier this month, following a messy split and string of bitter battles in court.

A beaming Belafonte told DailyMail.com exclusively: 'This is the most beautiful present I could wish for. I'm newly single and ready to mingle.'

Mel filed for divorce earlier this year citing 'irreconcilable differences' and claimed domestic abuse - which Belafonte always denied - before becoming locked in a bitter custody battle over their six-year-old daughter.

According to TMZ the couple, who were married for ten years, have settled on both sharing custody and arrange a schedule for physical care between them, but neither will pay child support.

The couple are thought to have agreed that Belafonte will have custody of Madison on alternate weekends and Wednesdays.

DailyMail.com also learnt that he will likely walk away with around $9million from the marriage once the house is sold and other business interests have been divided.

Clearly keen to put his marital woes behind him, the producer was even seen on a dinner date with reality star Nikki Mudarris last week.

Meanwhile Mel also proved she has moved on earlier this month, when she had the rib tattoo of Stephen's name sliced off her body, to draw closure on what she called their 'toxic relationship'.
