Comedian Joel Dommett has become engaged to his model partner Hannah Cooper.

The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here star took to Instagram to share the happy news on Wednesday evening in a typically kooky style as he shared the image of a lock on a door flipping from reading 'Vacant' to 'Engaged'.

Joel first met Hannah on Instagram after his appearance on I'm A Celeb last year, and the pair's blossoming romance has been a fixture on both their social media profiles.

Joyously taking to their respective Instagram accounts, the enamoured couple shared the sweet clips before being inundated with congratulations.

Joel won an army of new fans during his time on I'm A Celebrity last year, despite finishing runner-up to Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffat.

The duo were announced as the new hosts of I'm A Celebrity... Extra Camp in October, joining returning host Joe Swash on the ITV spin-off.

Joel revealed all about Hannah during an appearance on Loose Women in August, where he first revealed that the couple met on Instagram.

Asked if he was suspicious of meeting someone online, he said: 'Not suspicious enough to not meet my new girlfriend on Instagram apparently.'

'It does make me very suspicious though. You have got to be very careful and that is kind of why I spoke about it a little bit, because it's happening to people all the time.

'It's mad how many people get in touch with me and go: "This happened to me too, they bribed me for loads of money" and it's really happening a lot so if I can give a little bit of awareness and if it happens to someone at school and they go 'maybe this person is not real and too good to be true', then they won't.

Happiness is... 'I've dated people before where they have worked a 9 to 5 or something and it works better than a 9 to 5 because I work in the evenings so it works'

'It's so wonderful, we are so happy. She's very beautiful, I'm a very lucky lad.'

'She's very busy as well, weirdly it works out really well because she works all the time and I work all the time and we never see each other,' Joel added.

'She is in New York at the moment and so we just kind of find those moments where we both go 'I'm free then are you free then? We are free then, go go go!'

'I've dated people before where they have worked a 9 to 5 or something and it works better than a 9 to 5 because I work in the evenings so it works.'
