Ryan Seacrest has found himself in the middle of a storm surrounding delayed flights into JFK Airport.

A JetBlue flight from LAX to New York City on Tuesday was already running behind schedule, but it has been claimed it was given priority to land because of a special someone on board.

That person, according to Page Six, was Katie Roberts who had won a competition to meet the 43-year-old host.

JetBlue flight 424 had took off around half an hour late but a member of the flight crew announced over the intercom they would land ahead of schedule because of a 'friend' they had on board.

Fellow passengers cheered and applauded Roberts for the special treatment the Airbus A321 was given by air-traffic control.

In spite of the delay, it landed at 8.10pm, having originally been scheduled to land at 8.20pm.

But a baffled representative for Seacrest told Page Six: 'No one involved with New Year's Rockin' Eve that we checked with is aware of this person or any related promotion.'
