They have spent the last week soaking up the sunshine on their annual Barbados getaway.

And Simon Cowell and girlfriend Lauren Silverman continued to pack in the family time as they held a charity gala in aid of the dog charity K9 Friends.

The X Factor judge, 50, looked every inch the doting dad as he cuddled their cute three-year-old son Eric on his lap at The Apes Hill Country Club on Saturday.

The music mogul changed into his favoured uniform of unbuttoned shirt and faded bootcut jeans, which he offset with a deep tan.

Lauren, meanwhile, brought the glamour on the night in a printed button-down maxidress that cinched in her tiny waist.

Styling her raven tresses in polished waves, she framed her eyes with lashings of mascara and showed off her bronzed glow.

They appeared to be in great spirits as they sat with little Eric in the front row at the gala, which raised £100,000 for the dog rehoming and neutering charity K9 Friends.

More than 300 people turned out to support Simon to bid on many money-can't-buy auction items, including tickets to see The Script, The Foofighters and Bruce Springsteen.

Lauren pledged £5,000 for 2 VIP tickets to the opening night of Harry Potter on Broadway as a treat for young Eric.

The big money of the night was spent on two tickets for the final of America's Got Talent which included flights to and from the event raising £15,000.

Having the time of his life: The animated youngster seemed to be in great spirits as he chatted to other guests

Other prizes including a diamond neckless, one of Anthony Joshua's gloves that he used in his battle against Klitchco in Wembley last summer, and VIP tickets to the Global Radio Awards featuring Rita Ora, all went for big money.

The guests were thrilled when Simon hung around until the small hours happily chatting to the party goers and posing for selfies.

The media mogul has owned a property on the picturesque Eastern Caribbean island for a number of years.

In 2013, it was revealed Simon had been in a relationship with his then-best friend Andrew Silverman's wife Lauren, after pictures emerged of them kissing on a yacht.

The pair then welcomed their son - a half-sibling for Lauren's eldest son Adam from her previous marriage - in February 2014, and named him after Simon's late father, who died in 1999.

Simon has displayed his visibly slimmer frame during the sun-soaked outing, after vowing to overhaul his lifestyle and go on a health kick.

He feared he had 'broken his neck' after falling down the stairs at his London home at the end of October due to low blood pressure.

And after vowing to take 'good care of himself' he appeared to be sticking to his word and has ditched vodka from his diet, as well as making a conscious effort to severely cut down on the amount of cigarettes he smokes per day.
