It seems that President Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton's supporters have finally found the one issue they agree on - Vanity Fair is the worst.
The magazine, whose departed editor Graydon Carter has long been a target of the Commander-in-Chief's online vitriol, is now under fire from the left as well after posting a video which suggested six possible New Year's resolutions for the former Secretary of State.
'It’s time to start working on your sequel to your book, What Happened. What the Hell Happened?' says the first staffer to appear in the video, while the second suggests that Clinton have staffer change the autofill on her phone so that 'F doesn’t become Form Exploratory Committee for 2020.'
It is the third however that has drawn the most ire, as it features a young woman saying: 'Take up a new hobby in the new year: Volunteer work, knitting, improv comedy, literally anything that will keep you from running again.'

This proved to be too much for another failed presidential nominee, with Howard Dean responding to the video by tweeting: 'Come on folks. Vanity Fair has been a trash heap for the last few years. Why take them seriously.'
Oscar-winner Patricia Arquette was also not having it, writing: 'Hey STOP TELLING WOMEN WHAT THE F-CK THEY SHOULD DO OR CAN DO. Get over your mommy issues.'
There is now a call by many to cancel their Vanity fair subscriptions and boycott the magazine.
The person responsible for the knitting comment, Maya Kosoff, responded to the outrage by posting about her own outrage on Twitter.
'i don’t appreciate being taken out of context to make me seem super sexist. this wasn’t a hillary hit piece either, fwiw! we made silly new years resolutions for a bunch of politicians,' wrote Kosoff, who has since made her account private.
It is true that there are a number of other politicians that Vanity fair took aim at in the same video series, including Sarah Huckabee, Joe Biden and President Trump.
Trash tweets: 'Come on folks. Vanity Fair has been a trash heap for the last few years. Why take them seriously,' wrote Howard Dean
Selena Adera accused the magazine of a double standard though on Twitter, writing: 'Show me where you put Joe Biden through the same treatment. You know, the guy who attempted THREE presidential runs so far and never made it past the primaries. The 75 year old whose track record pre-Obama includes reprehensible treatment of Anita Hill.'
Meanwhile, Clinton advisor Adam Parkhomenko went so far as to show himself burning a copy of Vanity Fair.
'With something as deeply offensive as suggesting the former Secretary of State - a feminist icon and the most admired woman in the U.S. - take up knitting as she's bullied from the public stage, only a swift and abject apology will do,' wrote CauseWired founder Tom Watson.
And Peter Daou wrote: 'So @VanityFair decided that the best way to end 2017 was to take a repulsive cheap shot at @HillaryClinton , one of the most accomplished women in the history of the United States. Now #CancelVanityFair is moving.'
A spokesperson for the magazine said in a statement: 'It was an attempt at humor and we regret that it missed the mark.'
