K-Pop star Heize to undergo surgery after collapsing onstage at SBS Gayo Daejun

K-Pop star Heize will soon undergo surgery after collapsing onstage during her Christmas performance at the SBS Gayo Daejun in her native South Korea.

The 26-year-old singer-rapper (born Jang Da-hye) had been previously diagnosed with pharyngitis, but her 'extremely busy schedule took a toll on her health.'

‘Based on her diagnosis at the hospital, it has been decided that she will undergo surgery,’ the Round and Round stunner's spokesperson told Metro.

'For now, her progress must be observed, and it appears that she will be unable to move forward with her plans and scheduled activities for the immediate future.'

It's unclear whether Heize's collapse will be included in the broadcast Tuesday when Seoul Broadcasting System airs SBS Gayo Daejun.

The news about the former Unpretty Rapstar contestant came a week after K-pop star Kim Jonghyun died age 27 of an alleged suicide by carbon monoxide at his Cheongdam-dong apartment.

The former SHINee boybander - whose three-day funeral was last week - had reportedly messaged his sister: 'It's been too hard. Please send me off. Tell everyone I've had a hard time. This is my last goodbye.'
