Liverpool have reportedly re-opened talks with Monaco in an attempt to sign Thomas Lemar as a replacement for Barcelona-bound Philippe Coutinho.
Coutinho has made it clear that he wants to leave Anfield for Barca, who are increasingly confident of landing the Brazilian playmaker this month.
Liverpool tried to sign Lemar in the summer and, according to The Mirror, the Merseyside club have contacted the French champions again in the hope of agreeing a deal for the £90million-rated 22-year-old.

France international Lemar is also on the radars of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal but he is said to favour a move to Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp a big factor.
Barca will be forced to break the British transfer record to sign Coutinho.
A fee in the region of £133m has been mooted, meaning Liverpool would likely be left with plenty of change after replacing Coutinho with Lemar.
Coutinho, 25, has scored seven times and provided six assists in 14 Premier League games this season.
Meanwhile, Lemar has netted twice and set up four goals in 13 Ligue 1 appearances.
Midfield playmaker Lemar, who has scored twice in Ligue 1 this season, is valued at £90million
Coutinho has hit seven League goals this term but may have played his last game for the Reds
