'Swish swish': Taylor Swift fans lash out at Karlie Kloss as she quotes Katy Perry's diss track in Instagram post amid feud rumors
Sharing a clip from her LOVE Advent calendar shoot, showing the Victoria's Secret beauty playing basketball, Kloss wrote 'Swish swish' in the caption - the name of Katy Perry's single which was rumored to be aimed at nemesis Swift.
The 25-year-old model later changed her caption to 'Nothing but net' but it was too late as fans of Swift freaked out in the comments.
'Swish Swish': Karlie Kloss appeared to throw shade at BFF Taylor Swift on Tuesday when she captioned an Instagram with the name of Katy Perry's diss track against Swift
Oops: Karlie, 25, later changed the caption to 'Nothing but net' perhaps realizing the trouble she'd caused amongst fans
Of course 'swish' is the word used in basketball to represent the sound the ball makes when it rushes through the net.
But it's interesting that Kloss would use the word twice, forming the title of Perry's diss track against Swift.
Expressing their dismay in the comments, many fans couldn't understand why Kloss would consider quoting Perry, knowing the history between her bestie and the I Kissed A Girl hitmaker.
One user wrote: 'karlie knew that caption would cause drama' while another mused 'New caption ?!! I hope Karlor isn't over, love ya.'
Another comment read: 'I love you karlie and i know taylor is your ride or die. But making that caption when obviously you know about the feud is kinda asking for it. Meh.'
Trouble in the squad?: The friends have not been pictured together since November 2016 on an outing in New York. They are seen here at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2014
'Miss you Kaylor': Fans were quick to comment fearing that 'Kaylor is dead' after they saw Karlie's caption
Diss: Perry's song Swish Swish includes lyrics such as 'Your game is tired/You should retire/You're 'bout as cute as/An old coupon expired/And karma's not a liar'
Girl squad: Perry's song was in response to Swift's Bad Blood track in 2014 which was reportedly about her. Kloss starred in the video as well as many more of her friends
Adding fuel to the fire, Kloss and Swift have not been pictured together since an outing in New York in November 2016, leading fans of the leggy ladies to question whether trouble has been brewing within the iconic girl squad.
Perry's song Swish Swish was released last year and was rumored to be a response to Swift's song Bad Blood about her broken friendship with Perry.
Featuring Nicki Minaj, the song includes lyrics such as 'Your game is tired/You should retire/You're 'bout as cute as/An old coupon expired/And karma's not a liar.'
Kloss wished Swift a happy birthday on December 13 via Instagram with a selfie of the duo but her message was much more muted than previous years as she wrote simply 'Happy happy birthday'.
'Happy happy birthday': Karlie did wish Taylor a happy birthday on December 13 but it wasn't as much of a tribute as the birthday message she shared in 2016
'My ride or die': In 2016 Karlie was much more gushing in her birthday message to her bestie
'Blessed' Their friendship appeared to be very strong in 2016 if Karlie's birthday post was anything to go by
In 2016 it was a different story as Kloss gushed in her birthday message to Swift: 'Happiest of Birthdays to my ride or die @taylorswift I feel blessed to count you as my friend, sister and partner in crime. Can't wait to celebrate together very soon'
In October it was rumored that 'Kaylor' might be dead because Swift had 'politely declined' to appear on Karlie's new Freeform show Movie Night With Karlie.
It was reported by The Blast that fans were 'freaking out' that there may be a rift between the duo as Swift 'cited scheduling issues' as to why she couldn't appear on her pal's show.
