'I wear black today as a "we" not as an "I",' Tracee said according to People, 'as a celebration of our collective power as women, as an embodiment of sisterhood, solidarity and the work being done to create structural change.'

'We wear black for equity, parity and inclusion across all industries,' she continued, 'We wear black to join with the voices of ALL women, particularly women of color, LGBTQX women, disabled women and all other women who have been disproportionately affected by sexual violence.'

'TIMES UP on discrimination, harassment and abuse,' she concluded.

Look simply chic in a black halter dress like Tracee

Tracee Ellis Ross rocked an all black ensemble to the 75th Annual Golden Globes in Los Angeles, standing with the 'Time's Up' movement.

The look is one from Marc Jacobs spring 2018 collection, including the matching turban which was walked down the runway in a pink hue.

Tracee gave her look a pop of colour by working a slick of red lipstick and we adored the pairing. But it's all about that simply chic dress with its halter asymmetric neckline with a bow finish. You sadly cannot buy this dress right now, but click right to shop other pieces by Marc Jacobs at NET-A-PORTER.

'I wear black today as a "we" not as an "I",' Tracee said, 'as a celebration of our collective power as women, as an embodiment of sisterhood, solidarity and the work being done to create structural change.'

Ahead of the awards show she shared a video on Instagram of herself wearing a T-shirt supporting the movement with the caption: 'TIME’S UP ~ can’t wait to stand in solidarity with my sisters on the carpet and around the globe! #timesup #whywewearblack'.

Meanwhile, Tracee covers the February issue of Glamour.

The Black-ish star opened up about the future, sexuality, and her famous mother Diana Ross for the magazine's interview.

'I have to take some time to dream some new dreams. I feel like there's a treasure hunt in front of me,' said the 45-year-old.

In 2017, Tracee won a Golden Globe for her performance as Rainbow Johnson in the hit ABC sitcom Black-ish.

She became the first black woman in thirty years to do so while collecting an Emmy nomination along the way.

And after a 2018 NAACP Image Award nod, Tracee opened up about all the recent accolades to Glamour.

'I have dreamt of moments like these since I was a little girl, accepting my Oscar in the mirror. So it's a dream come true. Oh my God, I made it. Pinch me,' she said.

'But what has been way more impactful for me is the larger meaning…. When another woman or another woman of color has a win, I feel like it's my win. I feel like it's a ceiling breaking open.

'And so the nominations, even the win, really feels like it's not mine. It's like something becomes more possible,' she added.
