A man in shorts can be seen swinging a bat at a rival, before he and another exchange repeated punches and tumble to the ground.

Police are understood to have moved in shortly after the fight but few in the area are willing to speak about what happened.

Local councillor Tim Atwood told the Belfast Telegraph: 'The images on the video of the dispute are sickening. If there is any problems in a local area with any dispute street brawling is not the way to deal with it.

'Anything like this needs to be dealt with through the police service or other proper channels. This type of behaviour is unacceptable.'

Videos of the violence have been widely circulating online, with one being viewed more than 1,000 times on social media.
