A dreary day in Malibu didn't keep Caitlyn Jenner from her coffee.

The 68-year-old on Monday was snapped at a Starbucks in the Southern California beach town, wearing a pink zip-up hoodie over a rouge top, with form-fitting blue jeans and a black belt.

Caitlyn, who wore white sneakers on the weekday outing, accessorized with a gold necklace as she kept her head down on the drizzly winter day. The Olympic gold medalist was out and about on the heels of news that one of her fiercest critics has thrown her name in the hat for political office.

It was last summer when Ashlee Marie Preston, a transgender activist, was engaged in a heated political discussion with the parent of Kendall and Kylie Jenner at an event for the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles.

Preston declared she was running for a seat in California Assembly serving District 54, which spans Los Angeles communities such as Century City, Westwood and others.

'I believe in prioritizing people over politics,' she said in a December 30 statement, The Advocate reported. 'We are more than poll percentage points; we are real people with real stories.'

Preston said she's 'advocating for those who don’t have a seat at the table,' and according to the Huffington Post, the key issues she's focusing on include discrimination against the transgender community, immigration and police brutality.

In August, Preston told the I Am Cait star - an ardent supporter of President Donald Trump - that she's 'a f***ing fraud' in her support for the controversial commander-in-chief, who had infuriated the transgender community after announcing in July he planned to ban trans soldiers from the American military.

Preston told Jenner, who attended Trump's inauguration a year ago, 'It’s really f***ed up that you continue to support somebody... that’s erasing our f***ing community.'

The Republican reality star - who asked Trump in a tweet about campaign promises he'd made to 'to fight for' the LGBT community - told Preston in response, 'You don't know me.'

Preston subsequently told the Huffington Post that Jenner's 'commentary and actions have carried real consequences for the transgender community,' who are 'people who aren’t afforded the same protections and privilege as she has.'

She said that Jenner should apologize to the transgender community for her support of Trump.
