She shaved her head to play the role of a dying woman for recent flick Life In A Year.

And Cara Delevingne showed off her grown out pixie cut as she attended the Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets Press Conference held at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills on Friday.

The British model, 24, proved she could pull off any look as she held court for her latest movie.

Dressed in  a chic high-neck linen ensemble with gold collar detail, the model turned actress showed off her a glimpse of the lion tattoo on her finger as she answered questions.

Her short hair, recently dyed bleach blonde, emphasised her enviable bone structure and glowing complexion. 

Cara shaved her head for her role in recent flick Life In A Year, and took to Instagram to slam some of the reaction she got last month.

Posting a picture of herself with her shaved head in May, she wrote: 'It's exhausting to be told what beauty should look like.

'I am tired of society defining beauty for us. Strip away the clothes, Wipe Off the make up, cut off the hair.

'Remove all the material possessions. Who are we? How are we defining beauty? What do we see as beautiful?'

Meanwhile, speaking about her latest sci fi flick, director Luc Besson , the French director who is behind hits such as The Fifth Element, Leon: The Professional, Lucy and Nikita, revealed he was inspired by the serialised 1960s comics from Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mezieres on which it is based.

'There was no internet, no YouTube, nothing and you had to wait a week to get two more pages, he told delegates at the CinemaCon.

'I got totally addicted... It was so cool at the time, really new and I never stopped thinking about it,' he continued before admitting he though he was aiming to high with the project.

'But then this gentleman, this young director James Cameron - you've heard of him? - he just made these techniques possible after Avatar. Thanks to him now, the imagination is the limit,' Besson continued.

Speaking of her role in the film, model Cara Delevigne, who took on the lead role in 2015's Paper Towns, revealed: 'I grew up loving Luc's movies from when I was a kid. This is my biggest dream.'

The sci-fi movie also stars singer Rihanna, Ethan Hawke, John Goodman and Clive Owen.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is due in US theatres on 21 July and UK theatres on 4 August 2017.

Meanwhile Cara recently opened up in a frank interview with the new issue of Glamour magazine, admitting she sometimes gets frustrated with some of her straight friends' 'old way of thinking'.

She said: 'A lot of the friends I have who are straight have such an old way of thinking. It's 'So you're just gay, right?' [They] don't understand it. [If] I'm like, 'Oh, I really like this guy', [they're like], 'But you're gay'. I'm like, 'No, you're so annoying!'

'Someone is in a relationship with a girl one minute, or a boy is in a relationship with a boy, I don't want them to be pigeonholed.

'Imagine if I got married to a man. Would people be like - 'She lied to us!' It's like, no.'
