‘He’s just one of those people who kids love, so why wouldn’t we want to be in business with him?’ Nickelodeon Group president Cyma Zarghami said of Cena in a statement.

John tends to agree and he’s ready to get slimmed…again.

‘It’s a wonderful environment,’ Cena said of the awards show.

‘I compare it to a WWE event where the show is absolutely 100% made for the audience. Being in front of a live audience for so long so many nights in a row, I think it prepares you for the chaos of a live television production which is so, so fun.’

The network and kids adore Cena so much that they've hired him full-time as the host of a new competition series called Keep It Spotless.

Kids will have to stay clean in order to win major prizes.

‘It’s like the chaos and the slime-ability of Kids’ Choice meets that crazy scene in the original ‘Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory’ where everyone is wearing white suits and the kid gets transported through the TV,’ is how Cena explained his new venture. ‘It’s gonna be super special to kids.’

The game show is set to premiere later this year.

Also in 2018, Nickelodeon’s new toon series Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will feature Cena as the voice of the villainous Baron Draxum.

‘If you were of my age, you were a fan of Ninja Turtles,' Cena said as he reminisced about his childhood. ‘Being able to recreate Ninja Turtles and be involved in the franchise is really special.’

While exciting times are ahead in John’s career, he is also preparing for a major personal milestone—his marriage to Nikki Bella.

Since becoming engaged in April, the muscle man and his Total Diva fiance have set a date and place for their nuptials, but those details have not been disclosed.

In a recent interview, he told E News that they’re amping up the wedding planning in the coming weeks.

‘It's kind of a special time where there is a little bit of lull and I'm really looking forward to spending some time with Nicole.’
