Cannavale usually sports black voluminous hair, but hair and make-up trickery has give him a balding look.

The star's shocking appearance as Italian gangster Joe Gallo has him looking dramatically aged.

As part of his role on Friday, the Ant-Man actor wore a white vest, a green striped robe, and brown leather loafers.

In between scenes, the Blue Jasmine actor took the time to engage in discussions with his director and De Niro.

De Niro looked a little more familiar as Frank Sheeran, as his character's ensemble didn't stray too far from the actor's usual style.

The New York, New York star kept warm in the cold weather by wearing a black beanie, a maroon button-up collar shirt, a brown leather jacket, and black slacks.

He filmed the majority of his scenes inside a black vintage car.

On Monday, De Niro looked much more distinguished for his latest role.

The 74-year-old appeared strikingly older as he walked along with two crutches.

The actor submerged himself in his character and hobbled along using the two steel objects to aid his movement.

The Irishman is based on the 2004 book, I Heard You Paint Houses: Frank 'The Irishman' Sheeran & Closing the Case on Jimmy Hoffa.

It's the latest creation from De Niro and Scorsese, who've worked together on timeless film such as Goodfellas, The King of Comedy, Cape Fear and Raging Bull - the latter which garnered the actor his second Academy Award in 1981.

As with many of Scorsese's films, the cast is an ensemble of the acting elite, also including Oscar-winners Al Pacino, who plays American labor union leader Jimmy Hoffa, Joe Pesci, who plays mobster Russell Bufalino, and Anna Paquin, who plays the daughter of De Niro's character, Peggy Sheeran.
