A Mexican woman who disappeared more than a week ago is believed to have been killed, dismembered and cooked on a stove by her ex-husband.
The dismembered remains of 28-year-old Magdalena Aguilar Romero were found on Monday inside pots on a stove in Taxco in the state of Guerrero in southern Mexico.
Police say the victim's ex-husband César López Arciniega is the prime suspect.

The mother-of-two's remains were also found in plastic bags that had been stored in a refrigerator at a property owned by her ex-husband.
'It is presumed that she was cooked,' State security spokesman Roberto Alvarez said.
Romero was last seen alive on January 13 when she left her home in the city of Taxco.
She had said she would pick up her children at her ex-husband's home in the afternoon but was never heard from again.

Police said they are still searching for Arciniega who is believed to have fled when he realized he authorities were closing in on him.
It is not yet clear if there is a motive.
Authorities say they are investigating Romero's death as a 'femicide', or the killing of a woman when the motive is directly related to the victim's gender.
According to a report last month by the Mexican government and the UN Women agency, murders of women in Mexico rose sharply over the last decade following two decades of declines during which the rate had fallen by half.
