'He's the greatest ex a girl could have!' Jennifer Meyer praises former husband Tobey Maguire

Divorce can turn onetime lovers into lifelong enemies.

But for Jennifer Meyer it seems parting ways with Tobey Maguire has only brought the pair closer.

'He’s the greatest ex-husband a girl could ever have,' the well-connected jewelry designer told UsWeekly of her actor ex husband. 'He’s my best friend'.

Jennifer explained that their lives revolved around daughter Ruby, 11, and son Otis, eight.

'The day begins with the kids and ends with the kids... They’re really amazing kids, so we figure it out together.'

The busy working mom explained in an interview to promote Thursday's Create And Cultivate event that her children kept her grounded.

'I love that I get to start my day by taking my kids to school and end it with family dinner,' she said. 'In between, I collaborate with my amazing team, have business meetings, attend important events, and have weekly taco dates with my girlfriends. 

'I have a lot of balls in the air and somehow manage not to drop too many. My kids remind me when I start the day and end the day that I have everything in the world to be grateful for.'

Jennifer and Tobey were married for ten years prior to the finalization of their divorce last year.

They continue to socialise together and have a wide star-studded friendship circle. 

When announcing their split in October 2016 the two said their two children were their top priority.

In a joint statement at the time, they said: 'After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple.

'As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship.'

The couple tied the knot in 2007 - four years after they met - in a ceremony in Hawaii in front of their close family and friends.
