Chrissy Teigen has landed on the best dressed list after dozens of red carpet events - however she is the first to point out when one of her looks isn't quite up to scratch, even when it is ten years old.

In honor the upcoming Grammy Awards, which will take place in New York City on Sunday, the 32-year-old posted a throwback of herself and her husband John Legend posing on the red carpet at the event back in 2008, while hilariously pointing out her own very unnatural looking tan - and John's rather unique ensemble.

'Grammy's 2008. 10 years ago. This tan!!! Lmao,' she captioned the image, which shows the two making their very first red carpet appearance together.

Unsurprisingly, the image quickly caught the attention of Chrissy's 15.7 million followers, who quickly took to the comments section to voice their love of the picture - and of Chrissy's self deprecating assessment of the snap.

Indeed, the post racked up more than 400,000 likes and 3,000 comments in a matter of hours, with thousands of people gushing over the couple's youthful appearance, while others simply joined in Chrissy's joke about her tan.

Even some of the couple's A-list pals joined in the fun - with Brooklyn Decker, 30, jokingly commenting: 'Wut tan?' on the picture.

And the jokes certainly did not stop there - with Chrissy opting to share some of the love with her husband John, calling him out in the comments for his rather bizarre choice of ensemble.

'@Johnlegend u look like count chocula,' she wrote, making sure to tag the chart-topping popstar so he wouldn't miss her witty note.

Chrissy's comparison of her husband to the cartoon Dracula-esque character - who appears on the front of a chocolate cereal of the same name - drew all the more praise from her followers, prompting even more delighted comments about the post.

'When you go too ham with the spray tan,' one person wrote, while another said, 'I thought this was bad Photoshop that you were making fun of lol.'

One of the funniest comments was from a particularly witty user who wrote, 'I thought this was a whole different girl and you were gonna drag her for being up in your man lmao. Damn Chrissy!'

Meanwhile, in addition to the many jokes made at their expense, some couldn't help but point out that neither Chrissy or John appears to have aged in the slightest.

One person even commented, '10 years ago? You two haven't aged at all.'

Other users noted that, regardless of the bad tans, the couple still manages to look good. A user even wrote, 'Lol! That is a tan! Nice that you can acknowledge and laugh about it! Still beautiful!'

Despite the rather bizarre tan - and quirky choice of outfit - the couple still look as dashing as ever in the red carpet throwback, with Chrissy modeling a form-flattering silver gown, with her dark brown hair style in waves around her shoulders.

And this is certainly not the first time Chrissy had a spray tan gone wrong. Back in May 2016, she posted a photo to her Snapchat of her bed after getting a spray tan.

Imprinted on her white bed was a full-body spray tan outline which was so detailed, it showed a print of her butt. She snapped the photo with the caption, 'Spray tan diaries.'

Aside from her mishaps, Chrissy actually gets spray-tanned quite often, and they usually come out normal and much more natural than the one she rocked in 2008.

The couple has come a long way since their horrible spray tans and they look better than ever with age, plus, Chrissy has a natural maternity glow now that she is pregnant.
