An expatriate website in Cambodia released the scant details put out by police.

The website, cambodiaexpatsonline.com , published a number of photos released by the police showing the men and women lying on the floor of a premises together, the men shirtless, while other young people, believed to be tourists, look on.

It is alleged the names of four of the British men, made public by the police, are Richard Daniel Hone, 31; Paul Francis Harris, 33; Thomas Alexander Jeffries, 23; Job Robertus, 22.

Another man named is Vincent Hook, 26, although his nationality has not been revealed.

Also in the arrested group of 10 tourists is Paul Martin Brasch, 33, from New Zealand.

Two women in the group, both said to be from Canada, are named as 25-year-old Jessica Drolet and 20-year-old Edensaran Kazoleas.

A police statement alleged the 10 tourists were arrested for ‘dancing in pornographic mode’.

The local authority added: ‘The competent authorities are preparing a case to submit to the provincial court.’

It is not expected the group will face a harsh punishment if a court agrees they are guilty of breaking indecency laws.

Whether actual sex took place has not been alleged.

The photos released by police are understood to have been obtained from a witness at the scene.

Following the group’s detention and questioning at a Siem Reap police station, the eight men and two women were lined up at the entrance for a formal photo.
