'I didn't spend too much time thinking about Boy George': Seal downplays 'feud' with The Voice judge as he reflects on his experience mentoring talented hopefuls on reality show

The tension between the British popstar and his The Voice judge co-star Boy George did not go unnoticed by fans in the recent singing contest season.

But Seal, who won't be returning as a mentor for musician hopefuls in 2018, claims the former Culture Club frontman didn't leave a lasting impression.

The Kiss From A Rose hit-maker told The Daily Telegraph on Friday: 'Boy George has very little to do with my experience on The Voice.'

The talented duo often sparred throughout the series, fighting over singers they wanted on their teams and butting heads as they interrupted each other during the broadcast.

While viewers commented on their apparent dislike of each other on social media, Seal appeared to suggest the Karma Chameleon singer never bothered him.

'My focus was with the talent that you have in that incredible country. I didn't spend too much time thinking about Boy George, to be quite honest. From what I understand, that was more stuff that I guess TV people do,' he said.

Seal also revealed to the publication: 'For me personally, my focus and my reason for being there was to get the opportunity to be a part of someone's journey, someone's career. Those are the memories that I love most.'

He insisted joining the show's expert panel, which he first starred on in 2012, gave him purpose in a time where he 'needed to believe in something really worthwhile.'

Appearing on Nova's Kate, Tim and Marty show earlier this year, Boy George spoke of his verbal stouches with Seal, revealing that it wasn't put-on.

'All my opinions are my own,' George said. 'No you couldn't do that for TV. It's one of those weird things that when you do a show like The Voice, I did it in the UK, you never know who you're going to bump heads with...trust me, what I don't say is huge.'

Despite often 'bumping heads' with Seal on air, George admitted that he was always a big fan of his fellow coach despite Seal often saying 'outrageous things.'
