Her look was accessorised with a pair of simple black pumps, a quirky leather strap wrist-watch and a simple diamond ring on her right hand.

Leaving her flaxen hair to hang in loose waves, the Academy Award winner wore a natural makeup look that enhanced her youthful complexion.

Cate's trip to Dubai comes after she threw her support behind the women who went public with sexual assault allegations against producer Harvey Weinstein.

Last month, the New York Times published an explosive story in which a series of actresses claimed they had been sexually harassed by Harvey.

Since the initial report, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Cara Delevingne have also come forward and alleged they experienced inappropriate behaviour from the Hollywood heavyweight.

Cate, who starred in The Aviator and Carol which were produced by Weinstein, issued a statement to Variety in the wake of the controversy.

'Any man in a position of power or authority who thinks it’s his prerogative to threaten, intimidate or sexually assault any woman he encounters or works alongside needs to be called to account,' she said.

'It is never easy for a woman to come forward in such situations and I wholeheartedly support those who have.'
